Banning policy?

I think that's a big part of it.. it's not just newbie-ism, it's dumbness. I don't just mean lack of Queen knowledge, I mean some peoples' manner of speaking and things like that.

iron eagle, I get what you're saying but as I stated before.. there comes a point where you can't just ignore someone.. if they totally flip and start flooding with cut & paste nonsense, something has to be done.

Perhaps a 'cooling off' period might be better than a permanent ban. Or a ban followed by an email inviting the person to discuss their actions with Richard or Barb.. and once they sound like they're calmed down and promise to act a little more reasonable, they get one more chance.

there was a time when zoners looked out for each other
where newbies were welcomed and not pounced upon every time they asked a question-even if it had been asked a billion times before
and assholes were quickly and totally ignored by all ..and they quickly went away...
if one was attacked-all were attacked---
and we monitored ourselves and our behaviour instead of others doing it for us

now it seems-- banning-- deleting-- is the call of the day...

No, they were not. Those users spammed many topics, and as YV mentioned, "There is no way ignoring them when they post thread after thread and talk to themselves blocking the board for other topics."

Users like myself found the board filled with too much nonsense to spend any energy wanting to post. It became impossible to locate a normal topic in the midst of all of their crap.

Don't get me worng here: we all post shit now and again. But when a few posters so dominate a board with infantile topics and posts so as to make many users leave, then something needs to be done or else the board dries up.

I even changed my subtitle, so the 'old' Pim is back. For now.... :-D

I think it was quite clear that everyone was sick with all the stupid crap you two posted.
