I figure a lot of this is like that experimentation debate, should Queen have even made a record like Hot Space in the first place? Trying one's hand a different styles is one thing, but it's important to remember what an established fanbase is wanting to hear as well -- while they did seem to address this with "Las Palabras de Amor" and "Under Pressure", the rest of the album was still fairly bland pop/funk material.

Anyway, if I liked funk songs more than I do, I would probably be able to at least tolerate "Body Language", but still I can see why the main reason I know about it at all is because of the video being so notorious at the time.

I like the song and the video. The Hot Space album was a time of drastic change for them, I don't think anything like it led up to that...

Come one, Hot Space is a fine album. What about Life is real, that is a great track! And try to listen to Back Chat and Calling all girls without thinking of the horrible videos they have.
I like listening to this album.

I don't mind Body Language. I adore Seaside Rendezvous. And Delilah...... ehhhhhhh....... I prefer Body Language.

It's not that terrible, the bass line and drums are actually pretty catchy. It would have made a good porno movie soundtrack!

I like Body Language.Is very sinuous,catchy,and sexually explicit.And gaysh I guess.Totally Freddish!I'd rather fancy it more in a Freddie solo album like Mr.Bad Guy then in a Queen release,it would be more appropriate.It seems the other three guys have not so much to do with.
It reminds me of the 1986 George Michael's song "I want your sex",very similar IMHO and in some points George sings in a way I can't tell if is he or Freddie,most of all the high falsetto parts.Sooo similar!
By the way,both songs were banned by MTV.Not in Italy,a saw them on TV quite often.We don't get in trouble with sex,for sure!
