Recorder shouldn't be classified as an instrument!

Well, according to www.dictionary.com (hehehee..the internet is even replacing the dictionary) an instrument is, "A device for playing or producing music." You can play and produce music with them.

What I really want is the new Gibson Jimmy Page Signature guitar.

But I heard that the Seymour Duncan custom shop can hook you up with pickups with Jimmy Page's exact specifications, so that seems the easier (and cheaper) road to take.

I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard in Honeyburst and I am looking to switch the pickups.

Wow...all of you who play guitars, I am in something close to awe. After two minutes of pizzicato, my hand would be dead, and when I pluck to make sure I've got a melody, I can never manage to keep it up to speed...bows are such handy little things!

One of my friend plays French Horn, and for one of our plays, she ended up having to learn recorder really quickly...it was so funny - she got the soprano recorder, but learned the alto's music, so when we finally rehearsed that part, the melody was completely missing! It was so funny...I just hated having to switch from alto to treble to alto again every two bars because the arranger thought it funny to change clefs on me...

Ja ne!

I used to play saxophone..I was pretty good at it too. But I didn't like my teacher and quit..now I realize how stupid I was not to just go find a DIFFERENT teacher instead of quiting. But I guess it's ok now that I have my guitar.

Ooh... I was forced to learn recorder too in third, fourth, and fifth grade. They make the most irritating sound.

Actually, it's only the cheap shitty plastic descant recorders that sound nasty. I have rather a nice wooden one that sounds like a real musical instrument (if a slightly high one) and tenor recorders can sound really nice too.

I'm with you, Killaqueen - I still don't know how to whistle!

And yes, wooden recorders do sound much better than those hideous plastic creations. Not that I have much success with either...

Ja ne!

Yamaha P80 digital piano.
I'm happy with the instrument, but I'm not happy at all with me as a player.
