Hank, thanks! I quite like the name, myself. 'Ja ne' basically is a really informal, friendly way to say goodbye.
I'm so excited: I registered for classes two days ago, and I'm in a beginning piano class! Finally I'll learn a little ... my current knowledge and ability stopping at finding the A to tune with...

So that's what ja ne means...what language is it? German..or Dutch? Summin' like dat, eh?
Japanese.
Yeah, ja ne is Japanese. The only ways I know how to say goodbye in German are Auf Wiedersehen, and Guten Nacht. I really should know more German than I do, as it's my dad's first language, but....I didn't listen very well when he tried to teach me some...

No. It sounds like "what does your father do for a job?".
;-p
"Tschüs" is an informal goodbye, like "seeya". And a lot of Germans still use "Ciao" (or they did last time I was there).

"LOL! We'll have to start calling you "Toots". :P"

Oh, I think I do get what you mean. I assume you feel that the words sound similar. Get a new German teacher, cause their pronounciation must be waaay off!
Thanks Killaqueen!
I'm not a rich bastard, though... (I wish! - If I were, I would nog longer WISH for that Parker Fly ;-)))
It's a (part-time) job for me doing session stuff, and some parts of the gear have been partly 'endorsed'. (The Line 6 and the second Ibanez...)
