Last time Freddie played the piano

Hello, I was wondering when was the last time Freddie recorded piano on the studio. I know his last recordings were only vocals, but was he involve in the instrumental recording? for example: A Winter's Tale.

The track "Delilah" from Innuendo was pretty much done entirely by Freddie using synths, adding Brian's guitar solo at a later date. later Queen material seemed to utilise computer/synth technology as opposed to real piano. Think that the "Forever" (bonus cut on the Magic Cd) was performed by Brian so the last Freddie composition on piano on an Lp would probably be found on "The Works" way back in '84. I would guess that Freddie still used the piano to compose material but the years 89-91 who knows?

"A new life is born"....you mean Breakthru'?? Good point but to me doesn't have that "real" piano sound. Maybe Greg Brooks knows the answer or bloody jim jenkins ha ha!

There's a little bit of piano on "Track13" but that doesn't count I think!? Interesting post re: "New life is born" which leads me to my original thought that for 'demo' purposes the piano was still used to nail down ideas. Think that in '89 computer technology still played a part in the overall Queen sound especially if you listen to "was it all worth it" or "invisible man" that have orchestra's and 'beeps', so maybe not that hard to re-create a piano.

Ok, there's a bit of confusion.
Surely Freddie plays acoustic grand piano in many songs of The Works.
In A Kind of Magic he plays grand piano in Friends will be Friends (it is undoubtly a gran piano sound and it's Freddie style) and keybords on other tracks. I
n The Miracle we can listen to the grand piano in Breakthru (A new life is born) and also in Hang on in there ("Let's go let's go"). We must add I Guess we're falling out from the same session (the piano is quite surely by Freddie).
In Innuendo there's a lot of piano in All God's people (played by M.Moran). There are also three chords (in arpeggio) in Delilah (I think A min.) and a note at the beginning of Headlong (difficult to say who's the player), and of course a lots of keyboards.
In conclusion I think that in the Freddie's song it's possible it's him who plays the most of sinths and electric pianos (so, I'm including also You don't fool me, Mother love and A Winter's tale).

PS: Yes, Freddie used piano to compose, even if some of his song were composed on guitar (Great king rat, Crazy little thing and few others).

On 'AKOM' songs it could be Spike Edney.

'Hang On In There' - yes, it sounds as Freddie's piano-playing style. About 'Innuendo' era I don't know exactly, there is much of synths, but 'Delilah' can has some piano sounds though.

Let's hope Peter recorded that too, as he did with the first session with Montserrat. I'd love to hear a recording of that! Or maybe Jim videotaped it and will sell the video ?

Where did you get that FriedChicken? that was my original question, if somebody ever said when was the last time Freddie sat on the piano.
It was my first topic on queenzone, and I think for being a newbie I have received positive responses...
