I'm wondering what Brian's connection to Maya Angelou is ....help me I can't figure it out.

Rik Mayall :( I watched The Young Ones in the mid-80's when it came on MTV in the U.S. I was too young to understand most of the humor, but Rik was always my favorite. Maybe it's time to revisit this show now that I'm older.

What is Brian's connection to Rik Mayall, if any? I seem to think there is one, but cant think of it at the moment.....
