I can understand him not wanting to perform live or record again as part of Queen but surely it wouldn't hurt him to attend and accept an award with Brian and Roger thanking fans for their votes (ie last weekends Hall Of Fame Event).
I don't get it ? I know the guy is a very private person but if I was Brian and Roger I would see it as a snub to them and the fans of Queen.
Does anybody know whether Brian and Roger are unhappy with the lack of involvement from John ?

John has bene the only member of the band to truly respect Freddie's memory IMO. His decision to NOT continue with Queen shows just how much he truly believed Queen to be a sum of the 4 parts.
Cleary, Brian and Roger have their own agendas - they both live extremely lavish lifestyles and have a number of children / ex-wives to pay for. They need to continue making themselves money to fun that and their only vehicle for it is under the Queen banner.
John lives within his means and doesn't need to do any more than accept the royalty cheques that appears from EMI.

What the hell is up with this 'curse' crap? We all know that John Deacon has decided not to take part in any of Queen's actions, decisions, and future ideas simply because he is not interested. He has a life outside of Queen, you know! He has a big family, many kids to take care of, and a wife he's been married to for almost as long as Queen has been around. Brian and Roger still respect John and they're still friends with him. They're not gonna hate him because he doesn't want any part of Queen (though he will happily accept the money he gets for royalties, good business lol)

Well, we or "you" don't know what John is going through. He has his reasons for not joining B and R. You don't know why he doesnt want to go to the awards. Maybe he developed some kind of social anxiety disorder..I don't know, but don't assume he's a snob or he doesn't care about his fans.
Do you actually think Freddie expected the band to continue without him? I seriously doubt it - John obviously didn't expect them to either... out of fuckin respect. To the general public, Freddie WAS Queen. He left those vocal takes to allow them to release one more album. If he knew they were doing to cheapen the Queen "brand" by working with any old singer I doubt he would have bothered.
