I came here 8 years ago, and I didn't get much beef from people because I don't exactly look like the stereotypical hispanic.
However, I once had a problem at work with a customer. A couple of years ago I used to work at a supermarket and some schmuck douche bag came to my register, he noticed that I had a slight bit of an accent, so he asked me where I was from... so I said, Colombia... then the fuckin' asshole told me to go hide before the cops get me to take away my stash. So I just said... Sorry, I just can't take your order anymore until I get a little respect.
It was then when I just walked out of my register, and he had to wait for 5 minutes until someone else came to finish taking his order. I didn't care if I got fired, I was just not going to take shit from that bastard. My supervisors were very supportive, and I really thank them for that because they stood by me and said that I had the right to do what I did.
