Yeah, it being summer in the Southern Hemisphere sucks ass.

I'll be going home on Friday the 10th probably.
The following weekend I shall doubtless be going into the woods and stealing a Christmas tree, as per usual. One of these days we're going to run out of trees up there.
And after that I shall at some point probably have to make a Christmas cake.

Already have the tree up. Need to finish the decorating. My wife leaves that to me. She says I do a better job than she would. I think she just likes that I do it.
This year I have to work on Christmas day so that will suck. At least it's 3pm to 11pm so I will still be home in the morning.

We're not even having the sodding tree this year. I'm still finding little bits of rogue tinsel from last year, even after copious vaccuumings AND on a new carpet! So much about Christmas is far more trouble than it's worth.

this year will be very low key present and decorating wise
we close on the house at the end of the month and move in so there really is no sense decorating all up amongst boxes
i figure the house and new tv -- Samsung HLP-5085W 50'' DLP Projection TV -- is plenty...for now
