Yes, I'm alive. My semester is winding down, I've just finished my last essay, studying for exams. Eventually I'll post here again, but right now it looks like I'm not missing much.
So last night my boyfriend and I were in a car accident. A deer (more specifically, a large buck) jumped out in front of the car, smashing in the windshield in front of where I was sitting, taking out the mirror. I was showered in glass and have some minor injuries from the seatbelt, but all in all we both made it out remarkably well.
So that's my life, what is new with everyone here?

Buckin' hell. Hope you're alright. And if you're not...bam, pow! To the moon Alice!
OH DEER!
Doe! That's not punny!
Well, I guess the Buck really DID stop there.. ;-)
Ok, I am very glad you are ok, I mean I wouldn't want you to have YOUR head cut off or anything.. (inside joke between myself and Wicked here.. anyone else tries to flame me for that will REALLY be sorry.. )
I was wondering what happened to you.. havent seen you in a while..

Pfft no, you're the headless one, clearly. I even have photographic evidence. ;)
Did it "rein" deer? I know, bad pun alert.......
WEll, unfortunatly I seemed to have lost that photo.. I guess it was fate.. I have had many hard drive crashes.. is it still on the net somewhere?
Venison, anyone?
I'm glad you are all right, and good luck with the studies
Were you the only one slightly injured, or your boyfriend as well?
Anyways, glad to hear that it wasn't worse. The only one who was seriously injured was the deer itself.
Btw, does your insurance cover the damage made by deers on the road?

Good thing the buck did not go through the windshield.
A few years ago while driving one mile from home, a deer ran into the side of my car by the front tire, and fortunately could not jump up onto the hood. Anyway, insurace paid for the damage minus the deductable. Best of all my insurance rates did not increase as it was covered on comprehensive rather than on collision.

My boyfriend hurt his shoulders and neck a bit as well, but I think we're both over everything except the shock. The damage to his car was something like $2500, but insurance covers all but $300 and his rates are not increasing. Phew!
In the meantime, he has a brand spankin' new loaner car. Has less than 3K on it. :)

I wish your boyfriend a speedy recovery.
