Let's just say, for instance, that if Queen I, the first album, was to be remastered, and a song had to be added to it, which one of the three '73-era songs would you add? Polar Bear, Silver Salmon, or Mad The Swine?
As much as I like Polar Bear, and Freddie's beautiful voice in that one, I say Mad the Swine fits the album better. Actually, in my opinion, Polar Bear wouldn't have been too out of place on Queen II. This shows how much potential there would be if Queen were to re-release the albums with relevant bonus cuts, such as these songs and demos.

Mad the Swine was added to the US issue of Queen's first album when r-issued in 1991.
i like mad the swine, but never heard fred sing polar bear, so they better hurry with those box sets.
Which would have been my choice as well...
Stone Cold Crazy
Baba'o Riley is my choice...
I think Pete Townshend may have cut people for that.
I'd go with Mad the Swine only because I haven't heard any of the others. D'oh.

Freddie's vocal on Polar Bear is "awful" - every time he goes into falsetto, he completely loses the tone and pitch and then finds it, which makes for a very scrappy performance - of course, this is a very rough recording and there may well be a finished take of it, but is certainly not a great example of his voice hitting the heights.
I'd like to have seen an early version of Stone Cold Crazy on there or the odd cover version or two from their stage shows. Bama Lama Bama Loo would have been a great studio track.

Silver Salmon
And I'd use De Lane Lea version of "Jesus"- far better than the album cut...
