I haven't listen to those songs,but I've listen to some part of Mad The Swine.Freddie's voice was ace.And*smiles and blushes* I can also hear Roger!;)

If he means "Teenage Wasteland", he'd only be refering to Pete's solo interpretation of the track - ie the demo that Baba O'Riley sprang from. It's either a 12 minute synthesiser loop or a 5 minute song with alternate lyrics to The Who's finished version. Both are available on Pete's "The Lifehouse Chronicles"
It's be interesting to know if Queen ever rehearsed any Who songs; I can't imagine them doing any justice to them at all after Brian's effort at the "Pinball Wizard" intro. as Roger walked on at the FM Tribute show, but it would be interesting to hear Freddie's vocal......something like "Love Ain't For Keeping" or, even more adventurous, "Sunrise" or "Too Much Of Anything".

I would have liked "See What A Fool I've Been" added, it sounded like it would have "belonged" with the other tracks, though "Silver Salmon" definitely would have fit in as well.

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but I'm an even bigger fan of The Who than I am of Queen! So I know what I was talking about when I posted all those mistakes ;)

I'd personally love to hear a version of 'My Generation' with John (Deacon) doing the bass solo, but I think Freddie and Roger (Daltrey; damn, too many similar names here) are two different vocalists, so as much as I would want Queen to perform a Who song, in a way I'm glad they didn't.
That said, I could definitely see Brian playing an acoustic version of 'Sunrise', but I'd really like to see them attempt 'A Quick One While He's Away'!

I've just heard Polar Bear with Freddies vocals. I dont actually mind it. It sounds alot different to the Smile one.
Lester, Roger was very outspoken about The Who at the HOF awards, so I wonder if they would ever do a cover of A Quick One, that would be so awesome!

First of all Hangman even a studio version doesn't exist (the live version is so powerful !)

If they were going to do AQO, then it would HAVE to have been with Freddie - can you imagine the fun he would have had with that?
I spent a LOT of time on tour with The Who in 2000 & 2002 and we spoke at length about Queen - they really did rate them, but just couldn't get through the fact that they relied so heavily on RTB to get that "Queen" sound, rather than just getting into the studio and rocking out. Pete told me that he was stunned initially by Brian's sound; he did get cross when they started to churn out the radio hits in the 80's when they should have remained a rock band.
As a small aside, I am the last fan to have been photographed back stage at a Who show with John Entwistle - 31.01.02 @ Watford, and I swear that he played better that night than at any other time I'd heard him. God, I miss his sound.
