Aerosmith is the worst for Greatest Hits.

With all due respect, iGSM, that is complete bull. Aerosmith has enough hits and essentials to make 2 CDs worth of Greatest Hits. In fact, they just did make a 2-disc Greatest Hits collection!

Think of it this way: Aerosmith's career has been just as long as Queen's, and though hits are not nearly as memorable as Queen's (I mean, compare Walk This Way to Another One Bites The Dust, or compare Dream On to Bohemian Rhapsody), and Steven Tyler can't top Freddie's outstanding ability, they still have staying power here in the United States, as well as countries worldwide.

All I'm saying is, don't bad mouth Aerosmith's greatest hits ability, they are way past greatest hits. In about 5-10 years, there will possibly be another GH album by Aerosmith, and there will be even more hits to put on there!

What about Van Halen...having released a
Best of Album some years ago and now
only after one studio Album and a big break
they are coming back with another Best of Album -
which contains nearly all the tracks which have
been already on the previous Best of Album.
Def Leppard are doing the same thing right now...

I get pretty bored of bands that havn't been going long and release greatest hits and then a couple of years later another greatest hits album. The only band i like that has released more than 1 graetest hits album is Queen. I'm not overly keen on Greatest Hits III though. I dont like this Queen+ crap.

i dunno - the STEPS greatest hits was a blinding album - all gems (LOL)

seriously tho, the who have released about five greatest hits
and abba are just about matching them - altough they call them different things like
abba gold
more abba gold
not quite abba gold
abba slightly valuable metal
abba worthless tinfoil
abba lead piping

I'm still waiting for a Greatest hits by Metallica. Not that I would buy it (I've got all the original ones), but still. They're around for more then 20 years (i.e. as long as Queen was), but still no hits album. It would be selling pretty well I suppose, and since the guys are in it for the money, why not.
