I prefer the traditional ones.

Always always always my favorite: The Vienna Boys' Choir version of "The Little Drummer Boy." First three or four notes are all that are needed to make me melt.
God wants you to send me some money. "Seven spades doubled, vulnerable, making seven? You BITCH."

David Bowie has a great version of, "The Drummer Boy."

I love Christmas songs.

My mom bought the Clay Aiken cd. I like it!

I can't believe no one said "Snoopy and The Red Baron". It's a classic! Also, Dwight Yoakam's version of "The Christmas Song" is one of my all time favs.

I'd have to say my fav christmas cd is Harry Connick, Jr. Great stuff.

Oh yeah, "Father Christmas" by The Kinks.
..got my mind on my money and my money on my mind....

Isn't that the one he did with Bing Crosby?
My Brothers and Sisters all hated me 'cause I was an only child... -Weird Al (Generic Blues) I gave up on books when 'To Kill A Mockingbird' gave me no useful advice on how to kill a mockingbird.

No no, there's another one called A Winter's Tale indeed... by David Essex! (Just went to check my cheesy Xmas cds!)

Still...nothing can top "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues!! AWESOME! Not just at Christmas!

My faves:

O Holy Night
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
Christmas Time Is Here (from Charlie Brown), and the entire cd, actually!

And I agree, Christmas has become far too commercialized in terms of the music as well as gift-giving. Doesn't anyone just simply enjoy the company of their family anymore?

Wonderful Christmas Time - Paul MacCartney
Merry Xmas everybody - Slade
I wish it could be Xmas every day - Wizzard
Driving home for Xmas - Chris Rea
Jingle bell rock - Chet Atkins
Last Christmas - Wham
Do they know its Christmas(84) - Band Aid
There must be more to life than this.

Very rarely do I actually enjoy the company of my entire family. PArticularly my stepfather's family. But it is nice to have my siblings home for a bit.

As far as gift-giving goes, my gifts are usually either hand-made, edible, or both. Good tradition - I don't have to spend more than I can this way.
