They did take the occasional aspirin.
Roger said he once tried pot and he didn't like it.
I hear before their debut Freddie refused any kind of drugs...but years after...
if you listen to Trip Karliff (spelling?) on the Freddie's Millions docu, he claims that FM practically shovelled it up his nose
and that "the real thing" was served up on silver platters at his parties

I know that Freddie did quite a few times at his parties and Roger did whaen he was about 15 and he said he hated it.
There's also a funny little pot-story involving Freddie, a tea pot and some police officers.
During his wildest times Freddie apparently didn't only take cocain at some parties.
Elton John once claimed that there were nights at Freddie's home where they virtually didn't do anything else.
Funnily enough, there's a remark from Brian referring to the interview on the (fabulous) new Live At The Bowl DVD, saying that "he's obviously had too much of something"...I wonder if that's only supposed to hint at the beer...
Whilst Roger said he hated pot when smoking it in his younger years, I don't think it can be categorically excluded that he tried the ol' nose candy as well at some time. I certainly couldn't resist in these kind of circumstances (rock'n'roll group on tour, parties, Freddie having access to it) and Roger was quite a bit of a party animal.

HEM, good job, are you sure that stories true? if it is, that's a story i never heard, interesting, i didn't think john even drank, he looks so straight edged.
Does anyone know when Freddie stopped taking drugs, if he even did stop?
Those John-stories are true indeed. John admitted himself that he likes to get drunk once in a while in a late 70s interview.
And who doesn't?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!
God probably..and Toby McGuire.

This is turning out to be a VERY interesting topic...
Getting drunk is sorta fun, but most drunk people are dolts! I'd rather smoke pot than drink because I can take it and not become such a stupid ass. And if you ever have to drive, it is better to be high than drunk because you are more aware and cautious. Then again, it is better to be sober than anything....whilst driving.
cheers

didn't john then take the tube for a year, and no one recognised him!
