Usually I do not respond to topics about Queen is "dead" or no Queen without Freddie and John.
Mostly because I'm sick and tired of all that are complaining.

But...
On Sunday 12th December I stood right at the front of the stage at the afterparty in Cologne where Brian May and Roger Taylor gave a 45 minute gig. And this gig was incredible. They both played and sung as you can see on the setlist, published on Brian's site.
No, there was no Freddie Mercury and no there was no John Deacon. But the songs were there and these two old buddies Brian and Roger played Queen songs live right in front of my eyes and ears.

And it brought back sweet memories. And it DID show off that these two men are true friends and they just enjoyed playing together. They did that because they wanted it and because they can still rock. When they played Sail Away Sweet Sister and I'm In Love With My Car it brought me right back to the mid-seventies when I bought those albums and heard those songs for the first time. When you get the chance to meet them and to hear them play Queen songs live, believe me you will enjoy it.

And we should cherish the fact that they are still with us, wanting to play those Queen songs for us.

THERE IS NO QUEEN WITHOUT FREDDIE!!!!! GGGGRRRR!!!!
JOSEPH HAHN IS A SEXY GUY :D:D:D
please linda, you easly could be a only freddie fan and still be a tremendous queen fan, remember freddie named the band, without fred the band would have been called "rich kids" and he was the singer, you don't have to like every member of a band, that's all it takes is one.
If you can't speak English, don't try, because it just pisses me off. As does your point.

I never saw Queen live. Their last gig was before I was of any age to go. Yes ive seen Brian and Rodger play but but it never felt the same. Without Freddie Queen will never be Queen but for me this is as near I can get. Although I do admit, and i have felt this way for many years with all the endless possible replacement. To see any of the original members play together will be good to see. My only concern is that i dont want them to play Bohemian Rap, simply as a mark of respect. I feel that this was Freddie's little puppy and should be left well alone. What do you guys think?

Great topic!! I've been wondering myself. Why aren't people happy that they will go on a tour.
People are never happy.
If Queen wouldn't go on tour, people would nag about that.
And they are nagging about they are going on tour!!

Just stop please! and we should talk about Queen as a band for a change, not talk about Queen has died. Many bands have lost a member or two and peopleg wont get upset with that. I know no-one is Freddie and no-one could sing like him but he's just a member of a band. There are still two members left to play (and one retired) and they can be Queen.
IF Freddie hadn't died and Roger or Brian had died. Would you think Queen had died ?
It's not like Freddie was the 80% of the band and the others 20%. They all did it together and that's why this band is so fantastic. Without Brian's guitar and skills and Rogers voice and his fantastic skills on drums and John's bass Queen wouldn't be the same. Freddie was fantastic but he wouldn't have been so famous without them.

Now try to say that Queen is NOTHING without Freddie.

woooooohooooooo Someone on here makes sense finally!
