though as a tribute to Freddie I generally prefer "Old Friends"

I agree with that.
Brian's an emotional guy, he writes great songs imo!

Totally agree - there are lots of far better songs imho
"Normally i can't dance to save my life. But as soon as I step in dog shit, I can moonwalk better than Michael Jackson."
It's a beautiful song, but I'm not so sure it's one of the best.
It's so emotional and a great tribute to Freddie. I hate to think that anyone would hate it.

I've just listened to Queen rocks and heard No One But You at the end of it. I havn't heard it properly for weeks. It's one of my favorites at the moment but it wouldn't be in my top 10 list.
i'm sorry to disagree

the sentiment is fine - and well-intended

but it's a shallow-only-average ballad and very empty without the classic queen harmonies

I tend to agree. No-One But You is magnificent. Let Me Live is definitely one of my favorites, was since the first time I heard it. I agree with whoever said there should've been more songs with the trio all singing verses.
Give us the right key, f#@! sakes...
After checking out this topic, I decided to put No-One But You on. It's one of the few Queen songs that still puts chills up the spine. A very fitting tribute to Freddie... beautiful song. I've always loved Brian's voice, so this one is high up there in my books.

In this song, John's bass playing really makes the chorus. That man has always been so under-rated, even by Queen fans.
