Humourous but true, exactly.

Haha...
The last Queen fan in America.
HAHA!
I don't swim in your toilet, so don't pee in my pool!
You know, Daniel Nester posts on here from time to time.
DJ's the man we love the most
that's very interesting considering I'm an American, or at least I was last time I checked... hmmmm

Hmmm, well I agree on some of the things OTHER Americans might have felt about them backm then, but I don't think he should say he is the only American Queen fan. Many people in America like them, they just don't obsess over them as much as other countries seem to.
I'M obsessive!!

Um, hehe... *grins sheepishly*

tounge in cheek people.
It was a satirical article not far off base for the state of things in the 80's.
I was ridiculed for having Queen as my favorite band when Hot Space came out. I didn't care then and I care less now. He's got some points.

I kind of see how he feels. In 1997 when Spice Girls seemed to rule the world, a lot of people couldn't understand why I listened to Queen (I was born in '86 so I missed out on a lot of the 80's).

Spread Your Wings is one fo the greatest songs ever and whilst Queen singles didn't do that well in 80's America, most of them did still chart.
"I bet you lost your virginity to a mechanical bull"
I found this a long time ago. And, as far as I know, it's pretty true. Tho I am too young to remember music in the 80's, people who were very into the music scene have said that, to Americans, Queen's last album was Hot Space.
Zander, people ragged on you for liking Queen over the Spice Girls?? Ouch.

I only skimmed it. But from what I read, I think the author sucks :-)

I AGREE TOTALLY!!! he's not the only one in this god forsaken country that likes Queen. He should meet me and my friend Andrew!

The author of that article if full of himself and far off the ledge. True some people in America don't find Queen's music appealing and won't understand it, but I imagine it's the same everywhere. But while some may not like the music, this guy needs to open his eyes and stop being so damned bratty. There are thousands and thousands of websites and online communities here in America dedicated to QUEEN alone where fans get together and chat about their favourite songs, albums, members, and share pictures. One such is www.livejournal.com

The man has taken one to many dips into the glass if you ask me. His is by FAR the last American fan.
