Who here likes these J-POP (Japanese Pop music) stars? If so, what are your favourite songs from these singers?

Mine are "Dearest" (Ayumi) and "Come"/"toi et moi" (Namie - tied)

Well, if for no other reason than his awesome looks, you've got to include Gackt! And I actually like Ayu and Utada Hikaru when I'm in a really bubbly, pop-y mood. I like Hanabi and Vogue by Utada Hikaru, and pretty much everything by Ayu. There's also this one song by some girl whose name I can't remember...I can't remember the title either. But there's this one line that keeps getting stuck in my head: "Daitan ni ikimashou...[insert a few more syllables of Japanese]...Heart and Soul" Do you know who that could be by?

X Japan has been the only Japanese thing I've ever listened to.

'Endless Rain' is an awesome song, but most of their material sounds too 80s hard rock cliche.

I know Utada Hikaru (her music's weird, IMO), and X Japan (because of the fact Yoshiki worked with Roger Taylor in 1994 on "Foreign Sand" and the re-make of "Final Destination", the latter which I really like!).

Is Ayu short for 'Ayumi Hamasaki'?

i heard too that Yoshiki and Roger Taylor worked together but havn`t heard their works.wish i could...and yes,ayu is the nic of AH...and amuro is the nic of NA.

One of my friends had me listen to a song - I wish I could remember what it was - by a group I think she called "L'arc Un Ciel" or something very similar...since I know it was in Japanese, maybe someone here has heard of the group? Are they any good? The song was interesting, but I can't recall enough of it to decide if I want to find/purchase something by them!

MetzgerR,L`arc en Ciel is a rockband here in japan,and yes,they sing and compose good songs,a liittle visual type,and they`re popular here.wait,i`ll look for their best album...
