I personally don't consider Earls Court, Hammersmith 75 or 79 or any of those professionally recorded shows bootlegs. The best ones I've been listening to lately are Montreal, Toronto and Chicago from December of 78. Killer recordings!!! I saw them a few weeks earlier in Providence, RI here in the States and it was early in the tour but they were fantastic. BUT, listening to those three shows, you can tell they were really in the swing of things at that point in the tour. They were too hot to handle. I think their sound engineer Trip Khalef may have recorded the Montreal show. It has a soundboard quality to it.
the best bootleg in quality soun is final live in japan and live at the hammersmith odeon '75.
the logical one is good to think, but it does not to live

In Flash's defense, the search button doesn't work worth crap and instead of being pricks, why not just answer the guy's question? I just asked a member of another band's site a similar question and instead of giving me attitude, he offered to send me copies of his favorite live recordings. We're all Queen fans here!

Absolutely agree. Unwarranted response to a perfectly reasonable question. If you use the search button you get lots of fragmented info and a couple of similar threads which are fairly old. In the meantime lots more people have joined, with fresh views and opinions. Encouraging sensible posts and making 'newbies' welcome is the way forward (re: Fatties and others' posts).

After all it's quicker to post 'my favourite's Hammersmith '79' than it is to post 'why don't you try using the search button instead of wasting my time'.

If you're the type who gets more satisfaction from the second example above than the first, then I would suggest that you are part of the problem not the solution.

( By the way, i'm glad to see that 'boy of destinys'' rebuke solicited some helpful responses and apologise in advance for taking this thread back off line)

Oh, and my favourite is Hammersmith Odeon, Boxing Day 1979, 'cos I was there !
To cast aside the fury of the battle. To turn my weary eyes for home.
