It would be nice if they could find a well-known bass player to tour with them. I had really hoped that John would play, to say thank-you and goodbye to the fans.
These are some well-known bass players I know, but I don't think they will join:
- Paul McCartney
- Duff McKagan
- Sting
- Bill Wyman
- Jason Newstedd
It's funny how bass-players are often forgotten. I can't remember that many!

No John? Then it ought to be Neil, just for the feeling of it.
But if Gail Ann is an option, I'd LOVE to see her. Seen her tens of times and she realy is a great bassplayer and she can realy SING! Her voice is amazingly strong.

Someone over at Queenonline is claiming to have spoken to Gail and she says she is not touring with Queen. Apparently Paul Rodgers doesnt like her!

2 - Have I already said John Deacon?

Jamie Moses seems to be quite popular to Brian and Roger... He played at the UK Hall Of Fame, 46664, Hollywood Walk of Fame, QUEEN & 5IVE, Brian May World Tour etc, etc.

Jamie, the guitar player? I didn't know he played the bass as well, was that what you meant?
On the other hand, if you mean as a guitarrist,I don't think Jamie will be around. It was announced that the band will be comprised of 4 or 5 people, and apparently Paul Rodgers also plays the guitar. So I would guess the band would be:
Brian May
Roger Taylor
Paul Rodgers
Bass player
Spike Edney.
Just guessing, anyway.
Cheers,

Hopefully. To be honest why is Jamie Moses needed to play guitar. Paul & Spike can do that.

well guys, when i waas to reply to this post i was ready to say i love Gail and that my second choice would be Krist Novoselic(ex-Nirvana). But now that i know that old pal Jamie plays the bass my shot goes to him. There aren't that many 2 guitar songs on Queen's catalogue. Even on that songs(and if PR or Spike don't play the 2nd guitar) jamie can jump to the rythm guitar and Spike play synth bass(on the same way when on the old days John Played rythm guitar and freddie/fred Mandel/Morgan Fischer or Sipke used to do).
No Question. it will be Jamie, because Brian said that only 5 guys onstage!
Roger Taylor - Drums/vocals
Brian May - Red Special/Keyboards/Vocals
Paul Rodgers - Vocals/Guitar
Spike Edney - Keyboards/Guitar/Synth Bass/BV's
Jamie Moses - Bass Guitar/Rythm Guitar/BV's
I'm smeling at one point of the show a 4 guitar duel with Roger backing on drums!

You'd count someone out because they're ugly?
Did you ever see Freddie?

it would be helpfull if the bassplayer could also do some backing vocals. And I prefer a male voice above a female voice for the Queen songs.
I don't know if Jamie Moses can sing as well?
ah well .. maybe we don't even need a bassist for backing vocals; John wasn't a pavarotti either :P
