Who agrees with me that a lot of modern groups don't have the talent to create their own music so they take older songs, revamp them (in their eyes) and totally f**k them up in the process!!!

I can't believe what I heard on Video Smash Hits (TV Top Ten) this morning. A rap/hip hop version of the Archies "Sugar". My god it was bloody awful. A couple of weeks ago, I heard another craptaculur version of a classic "Eye of The Tiger (Theme from the movie Rocky for those of you who don't know) again done in a horrendous rap/hip hop version. And then there is this chick who for effing sake has ruined a song from Fiddler on the Roof.

Sure, some of the youngsters will cry "Get with it old fart" but I say if you are going to do a cover of a GOOD song DO IT RIGHT!!!

And I will even go further by saying if you can't do it right, LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

You're not talking about the Anthony 'My ego is a world of hurt' Mundane version? Er, Mundine? Worst ever. It could only get onto that program...that shit house one on Channel 10.

And Rage. But Rage has always been shit in my opinion. Only good for druggies, insomniacs and shift workers.

Yeah look at what Eminem has done with Martika's "Toy Soldiers"..... At least he didnt make as big an arse of that than Vanilla Ice did with "Under Pressure"

Theres an new Irish boyband at the moment called Zoo and they've just realised a version of "Poison" by Alice Cooper ,oh my god it's undescribably terrible, whoever thought it was a good idea to realise it should be sacked....it's very hard to improve on an original so why even try.

Definatly!!! I mean, just look at 5ive's version of We Will Rock You!!! Modern pop groups should definatly leave good ol' rock songs alone. Or music altogether... No one wants to listen to pop bands anyway!

You could blame the rappers, but in the end the ones to blame are the rock stars who just quite simply sell-out their classic hits to a rapper who has too much bling-bling and zero talent.

These are some of the worst examples of talented artists selling-out their work.

- COME WITH ME / Sean "P.Diddy" Combs
(sampling Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir")

I totally lost my respect for Jimmy Page after this. This is seriously worse than worshipping Satan. Not only he sold-out one of the greatest songs of all time, but he agreed to be featured in the video along with that douche bag.

------------------------------------------------

- SING FOR THE MOMENT / Eminem
(sampling Aerosmith's "Dream On")

Just simply awful, but even worse was selling this song to be featured on a Cadillac commercial.

------------------------------------------------

- BEEN AROUND THE WORLD / Sean "P.Diddy" Combs
(sampling David Bowie's "Let's Dance")

How could Bowie do this? Was he running out of cash.

------------------------------------------------

- BAWITDABA / Kid Rock
(sampling Metallica's "Sad But True")

I find it funny that Metallica fans called the band "sell-outs" for cutting off their hair and putting an album with an alternative edge, but yet none of them said anything when Kid Rock made this piece of crap.

------------------------------------------------

- I'VE BEEN MISSING YOU / Sean "P.Diddy" Combs
(sampling The Police's "Every Breath You Take")

Here's Puffy once again, cashing-in on someone else's talent and a "friend's" death.

------------------------------------------------

- FAITH / Limp Bizkit
(sampling George Michael's "Faith")

Not even covering someone else's song can Limp Bizkit make a semi-decent record. This one is actually even worse than the rest of Limp Bizkit's songs.

Cover versions usually are crap. Why modern day artists have to do them is beyond me. Very few, if any, have the real talent artists before them had.

I depends...if the old song is rock, and they turn it into rpa, I hate it! But, if it's similar, then I like it. It shows that the world is still listening to things that aren't so new.

'Walk This Way' might be a rock song, but when it was re-made by Run DMC it sounded great!

Then again, the way Steven Tyler sings 'Walk This Way' on the original version, sounds more like rapping than singing.

Eminem's version of Toy Soldiers is fantastic. But then he always makes great songs sound better. Look what he did with Dido's Thank You. Turned it into my favourite rap song Stan.
Guess who's back?

I hated Behind Blue Eyes, mostly because of the 'Discover L.I.M.P' thing in the middle, but also because of the morons that were convinced it was originally a Limp Bizkit song!
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.
