No, it was Nicholai, the most promiscuous of the "fab four" Freddie, Kenny, nicholai and Pepe.. Nicholai brought it from NYC Gay clubs to London and infected first Kenny, then kenny infected Pepe and Pepe or Nicholai infected directly Freddie. So says the widow of Kenny.

This happened aropund 84, only little earlier than Freddie had the encounters with Tony Bastin.

Winnie Kirchenberg also contracted it from Freddie and died late eighties.

I see my post did start a discussion... Well, I didn't mean anything by it. I don't hate homosexsuals and I do think AIDS is a terrible disease and is one of the biggest problems on the planet. It's the way of asking that made me post my post.

Here's a random thought...

Just thinking about Jim Hutton. It's amazing now if you think about it how Jim must have been living with the disease since the late 80's at least and now we're in 2005 and he's still doing remarkably well (as far as I know). Too bad medicine even in the early 90's wasn't as advanced as it is now or we may still have our Freddie. But I'm sure he's "living" a peaceful existence now up in heaven. God bless him.

Good question. I'm not entirely sure...anyone know? But if he's still in the HIV stage, whoever treats him has been doing a very good job in keeping full blown AIDS at bay. It's just amazing compared to only 15 years ago how much longer people live these days with the HIV/AIDS virus. I mean, look at Magic Johnson...he's still pretty active and feeling well and the news hit in '91. Amazing...

Well, nowadays there are medicines that almost let the disease disappear from your body, but they do not cure your body completely. The drugs prevent the virus from multiplying. So, if you take your medicines each day, you can become hundred years or older.

Whoever gave it to him, why didn't they tell him that they had it? They could have spaired a life.
