Does it matter? Freddie died, and we should work to prevent it before it takes someone else. The governments of every country should provide the means of disease protection to its citizens. Prevention should be the primary focus. Let's look at the future, not the past.
Are you sure that someone infected Freddie by sex? I heard that Freddie did drugs,so he could have gotten it by sharing needles, but I guess it's more likely he got it from sex.

yea it was aparently that newyork airline steward, he came to freddies in 85 to tell him that he had aids and he should get checked out, now thats the story in peter freestones book,

Kenny Everett was infected and there is a high probability he got it from him. Kenny died not long after Freddie. Kenny was good friends with Freddie. anyone see that picture of him and freddie?
Jim is infected too... I think nobody does exactly know who has infected Freddie. In the eighties he had sex with a lot of men. I think he had sex with more than one HIV positive in that period.

I just read through all 3 pages of postings... wow. So much hate in a happy place. That one ocmment way back there, that was kinda bullshit. You should realize you dont say something like that because someone is bound to get offended. I know I did. It doesnt really matter how Freddie got AIDS, all it matters is that he had it. I mean he could have gotten it any number of ways. He was a rockstar in the 70's. But again, it doesnt matter. He is dead from it. We should try and stop it so the next Freddie Mercury doesnt have to die. Give your money to the Mercury Phoenix Trust and they will put it to good use. Better yet, buy the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert and get a memory with the donation... but still send them more money.
Here's a random thought...
Just thinking about Jim Hutton. It's amazing now if you think about it how Jim must have been living with the disease since the late 80's at least and now we're in 2005 and he's still doing remarkably well (as far as I know). Too bad medicine even in the early 90's wasn't as advanced as it is now or we may still have our Freddie. But I'm sure he's "living" a peaceful existence now up in heaven. God bless him.
