It wasn`t included in The Miracle for copyright or something like that
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.
Brian's version touches me more than Freddie's version. Brian gives more emotions to the song. Well...it's his song and that's why it's so great when he sings it.
It's one of my favorites!
Yeah ... but do you think we would be better off if Brian sang "his songs"? I dont think it would have been such a great idea to have Brian sing We Will Rock You, Hammer To Fall, etc. And furthermore, to have Roger sing Radio Ga-Ga, and John sing I Want to Break Free, etc. Thats not the point - to have the author sing it. Queen is not only Freddie's voice of course - its Freddie's voice, Brian's guitar, Roger's drums, and John's base - but the voice of Queen is Freddie.
That time will come, 1 day youll see, when we can all be friends

Dave, I just find Queen's version incredibly schmaltzy and forced. It's a cover version, and like much of the MIH album, sounds contrived. I think Brian's version is more heartfelt, and musically the C minor/E flat turn at the end gives it a sense of drama lacking in Queen's version. I'll happily admit that I think MIH is a blot on the Queen catalogue. I think it's musically flat, incomplete and utterly contrived to capitalize on Freddie's death. It's morbid and creepy. On Innuendo, they did their last complete album as a band. To open with Innuendo, and end with Show would have been a perfect emotional way for the band and Freddie to say goodbye. Lots of people will disagree with me, and that's cool. Those are my reasons though, right or wrong.
You know, good times are now.
i think we have a different opinion here. there's some things in the brian version i like better, but overall his voice ruins it for me, very weak singing, queens version has great singing. i thing the perfct tmlwky version would be to leave freddie's vocals but leave the guitar style in the original.
i prefer it when freddie sings this song! his voice is not to powerful for the song i think its perfect, and brians voice sounds a bit to quite. and i dunno who wrote it but i believe it when freddie sings it

but i dont get the point of the discussion cos its impossible to decide between the two, cos there'll always be someone with a different opinion
Brian wrote the song with a couple of friends.

Claire sweeney's version is brilliant (only joking)
Yes we'll keep on tryin we'll tread that fine line oh oh we'll keep on tryin till the end of time till the end of time.
Well there are also other versions of Too Much love Will kill you linked with Brian

-The duet Brian/Lamers
-the duet Brian/Pavarotti
-Claire Sweeney

...
i think that there are good ideas in all those versions, even if the MIH version is always the better one according to me.
Anything too stupid to be said... is sung.
