I've read in the Daily Mirror in the UK and it said that George Michael is quitting music. What does everyone think of that?

Well... I think he'll maybe ease down a little but don't think he will realy quit. In the past he has announced his retirement from the music scene as many times as Tina Turner did farewell-tours!

That's something I'd truly expect to hear from Robbie Williams.

George is a very talented guy. Too bad he's retiring, but I guess he has very good reasons why since he has mentioned recently that nearly the whole pop genre is dead.

Ha. Elton John said the same thing a while back...

Well, i don't care - he was massively overated in my opinion anyway. Not a patch on Joe Elliott.
Don't call me gigolo, don't call me Casanova Just call me on the phone and baby come on over!

How will we tell?

I hope he isn't quitting all together... He is a favorite of mine. But, If it were true, I can't say It would be a surprise.
"Elton John and I became really good friends. I don't mean 'good friends' in that sense. I just mean we slept together." -Billy Joel

Mick Hucknall said the same about Simply Red 10 years ago and he's still going. It'd be a shame if George does what he says, but there'll always be his music - and I still love 'Patience' to death.
Yes, it's me. I'm back. I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on a disk somewhere

See, George retires, we all wish him well. John Deacon retires and we all keep asking the same questions!

George is a fave of mine and I hope he has a nice retirement. But how often has David Bowie 'retired' ????
Chom own mudder fukker.

he said 'Amazing' was his last album but i agree with many here, he is just a hugely talented musician it will be a shame :-(

My girlfriend and I are going nuts to have a chance to see Simply Red.

The problem is that he doesn't tour America that much. For the last tour to promote 'Home' he was playing here in NY the same day that my girlfriend had a class at night, and she couldn't skip it.
