The article I read yesterday said that he wasn't quitting, but that he felt that the type of music he's been writing/performing in recent years is dead, and that he's going to change his musical direction and come back with something new. (That was in The Sun mind )!
To cast aside the fury of the battle. To turn my weary eyes for home.

Doesn't he do this every year these days?

After Faith, Spinning the Wheel and Fastlove I can't think of anymore George Michael songs I like.
Guess who's back?

He is making an album of gangsta rap. Because in the 69 his humpty nose will tickle your rear.

Remember one thing...

Great artists who announce retirement always have a tendency to come back for either another tour or another album. Such thing happened with Elton John, The Who, and Ozzy Osbourne.

On the other hand we have shit talentless artists who finally realize that their music is crap, and then they announce their break up. Like recently we've seen with Creed, Rage Against The Machine, and (crossing my fingers that she won't ever come back) Cher.

Good Hopes and Fears was very overrated. Oh that Keano. Stick it up your bollocks Keano. Right.
Guess who's back?

Rage did that scary rocky version of the imperial march! Loved it.

Nah, George may not be great, but i loved that crazy video he did using 2dtv cartoons. Wicked!

Like many people, I don't suppose this'll be the last we ever see of him, but it's a shame that such a great talent feels under so much pressure. Mind you, 4 albums in 20 years is hardly slaving away is it?

I think he's a genius, of the highest order. I think he's the best solo songwriter England's seen for many a long year, and he should do whatever he wants, but make another great album before he goes. Listen without Prejudice vol 2 would be a nice way to sign off, specially if it was as good as the first one.

Quite possibly the best news I have heard in quite a while. Next best would be that "Queen" will cancel their tour.

I'd rather see George out there with them than Paul Rogers.

Where does he do this gav/sav malarkey?
