Queen are proud of the fact that they hardly used synths, not up until radio ga ga. but correct me if i'm wrong but isn't there one on killer queen now and again. or if it isn't how is the electronic effect produced

There were several effects produced by voices, drums and piano as well. Bass not so much imo.

Queen always made a point about not using synths until they succumbed with "Play The Game" the first official song to feature an Oberheim OBX synth on The Game album. Went OTT with synths on Hot Space with a disco/funk sound and used synth bass lines instead of John's bass on Body Language & Dancer? Queen's best albums with synths is Innuendo.
Actually synth`s debut was in Save Me, which was recorded and released earlier

They did a lot of non-guitar sound. In fact they did a lot of sounds that are like synths. That's why they put No Synthesisers! on the albums :)
See I allways thought that it woould have been Roger to push through the synth idea (Listen to his albums), so if i'm right then surely Rock It would have been the first.

What's the big deal anyway? The Beatles were using synths in 1969 - listen to Abbey Road (Maxwell's silver hammer and Here comes the sun to name but two). Remember there are whole songs by Queen that are purely synthetic (apart from vocals obviously!) Drum machine, sequenced bass and synths. Whatever the song needs...

Brian was always experimenting with his Guitar sound e.g. 'Guitar Orchestrations' Multi Track layers overdubs etc
