I think Freddies voice always were brilliant! I don't think there is many who could do those powerful Queen-shows so often as he did.
heyheyheyhey, it was the DNA...

Latemix,

I think you'll find that the film of the Budapest how has been speeded up to a great extent for some reason - the pitch of Freddie's voice is completely wrong - I don't believe he EVER sang like that or that the band played any of the songs *as fast as that*.

I think its only a semi-tone above concert pitch so it hasnt been speeded up that much, although I think he sang better at Knebworth.

On the Magic Tour I dont think Freds voice came good until Maine Road, his voice seemed to get progressively worse until second night at Wembley and then all of a sudden at Manchester it was spot on. Its a pity Wembley wasnt a few gigs later.
I love you for your mind baby give me your body.

DEnnis, yo obviously like Freddie's husky voice, but to the extreme. Those concerts were good but Fred had noticeable problems with his voice. And Freddie's voice was not fuckin great at second Wembley gig.

The part when he sings with the audience after AKOM was almost sad. Althogu i have to recognize that he had great shows in 86, but his voice had to make an extra effort that sometimes sounds not good.
