a few of you have said he looks ill in I Want It All. i think, physically, hes not at all bad, and its only cause we know he was ill that we think it. but, and this may sound strange, but i think its something in his eyes that shows it most.

He looked completely different after 1986.
I remember when I saw the video for the Miracle, I told everyone in the room that something wasn't right.
He didn't look so sick, perhaps, but he looked so sad....almost like he was keeping a secret....which he was.

you're right, there is a sort of lonely sadness to them, but determination too.
and i know it sound weird, but sometimes, his movements were different. obviously in the latter days he was in a lot of pain and couldn't run around humping speakers and stuff, but even in the late 80's vids, it was the same Freddie moves, but just a little bit slower and smoother

Im Goin Slighly Mad, and These are the days of our lives, cos on both he is incredibly thin, face is pure white and i know its black and white but you can tell the difference between his and the other band memebers, now that iv sed that i think we shud close the subject on Freddies illness and not speak about his illness agen becos its is more or less becomin an obsession with everyone.

It isn't an obsession. It's something you can't avoid when you're talking about queen
Well you can, just talk about the music, and i know you will proabbly say hard to do wwhen you talk about some of the songs, like those off the mriacle album or innuendo, but think of how good the songs are and not what they represent, just say to yourself either "Great song by a great band" or "not much of a tune but still a great band"
I think Freddie probably looked the worst on Nov 24th 1991.
And whys that? i think we are all onabout which music vid did his illness look worst on, not an exact date, if you do give an date like you have you have to give a reason for those who dont have a clue about that date.

i know there were always constant rumours in the press, and coupled with Freddie's oddly changing appearance, no-one ever seems to talk about the way his voice changed.
its not that he lost the ability to sing, far from. its just its obvious that there was a difference in his voice. its hard to put it in words, but im sure you all know what i mean. just the way he sing. it wasnt as noticable on The Miracle as on Innuendo (and later Made In Hevaen), but it was clearly a noticeable change. anyone else agree?

I thought it was more nasal and I didn't like it as much. Almost like he was trying too hard.

On Innuendo, he sounds thinner...
The voice is amazing, really, his voice sounded really strong on Innuendo.
But compare the voice on, for example "Princes of the Universe" compared to "Headlong".....and it literally sounds like comparing someone who weighs 170lbs to someone who weighs 125lbs.
To put it best in words, Innuendo sounded like "the voice was strong, but the body supporting it was weak."
If that makes any sense.

Freddie's voice was still strong and powerful. If Freddie's voice sounds a bit more soft and less husky than on 80s albums like 'A Kind Of Magic', it might have been probably due to the fact that after finding about his illness Dr. Atkins told him to immediatly quit smoking. Besides, Freddie once admitted in the early 80s that he didn't mind smoking because he actually wanted his voice to sound huskier.
