In my opinion....NO...none as good as Queen. There might be really small bands out there, who hardly anyone hears of, and who will never enjoy success on the scale that Queen did, but might technically be "as good" in many aspects. But I certainly think none of those bands in that list (tho the Beatles deserve one HUGE mention...they are the only ones who can prolly claim to be as good) begin to even approach Queen. And back to the point of small obscure bands...u prolly mean rock bands? Or popular mainstream stuff anyway. Because, no doubt, there are certainly bands out there in their specific genres who are as good a whatever band as queen were a rock/etc. band.
But at the end of the day, that doesn't count, and NO...Queen certainly remain the best

.......ummm...no...but what fall close behind are Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Police, and David Bowie ^.^
If you're talking about influence, Queen comes nowhere near Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin influenced entire generations of rock music. You can't say the same for Queen.
If you're talking influence, then the Jimi Hendrix Experience. But it's not about influence here...

i just wanna put in my thoughts on mcfly. i saw one or two of you slagging them off. i have to say that i think they are actually pretty good. now don't have a go at me, i'm allowed my own oppinion, especially as it comes backed with some ideas behind it. when i heard that song that they did for comic relief recently i was astounded. the song was very good. the structure was good, the hooks catchy, and their harmonies live (yes they do perform live) were brilliant. i have to say it reminds me very much of the 1960's. the beach boys. and i will actually go as far as saying that i think that if it was released back then by the beach boys, ok ,with maybe some fuller instrumentation, a la brian wilson, then it might actually be considered by some more of you as a great and classic song. i have to say, that i'm not sure that some of you are really listening to the songs so much, rather, looking at the boys who wrote it, and thinking before they've strummed one note that you won't like it. because you're a die hard music fan and this can't be cool. tell me, is that fair?
that last mcfly tune sounded like the beatles and oasis on a bad day, nice tune tho all the same
