John, why don't you just e-mail Mr. Brooks yourself then, if you don't want to listen to me? I'm sure you and Greg would have a very interesting debate...

You completely miss the point (again!!!!).
I know all about the BBC version of "...Black Queen". I own it. I have shared it. Why do I need to talk to Greg? Do I not have two ears? It also means that those "readers" who have been reading this thread are cheated out of a conclusion!

That's the problem isn't it?
You do NOT want people to hear this track for themselves, because you know all along that I am correct, and you just can not suffer to bring yourself to admit it.
Why don't you just answer one very plain and simple question?
1: After listening to "March Of The Black Queen": the "official" CD release and the "BBC version", they ARE BOTH THE SAME - True or false?

Upload your "March Of The Black Queen" BBC version.
Then EVERYONE will know. End of confusion. End of debate. Game, set and match to you.
What do you have to lose?
As for me... I still say "THEY ARE THE SAME". Prove me wrong.

For one thing, I'm not on the HUB (or going to be on it) for a while (I'm still registered, but due to a DVD+R9 project I'm working on, space issues prevent me from having both all my working DVD files and min. 2GB of Queen files for the HUB on the same hard drive. I only have a 40GB HD, which I will probably need about 10-15GB of space for my files, if not more, since I will be multitracking seperate 6-channel wave files into Adobe Audition to create two new 5.1 DTS tracks alone for the movie I'm re-working).
I'll tell you what, Stuart. When I am FINISHED the project I am working on, I will re-load my Queen files from the DVD R's I saved them to, onto my HD, so that I can get back on the HUB, and when I do I will look for a copy of MOTBQ.
Though I'll give you one for sure; I've never seen any copies of the BBC MOTBQ MP3 on the HUB.
Right now though, my project takes much higher priorities than the matter of an MP3 at the moment. The MP3 will be 2nd on my list...

You don't own a copy of Queen II?
Is POkemon still that expensive?
Indeed, it is. I just got the 7th movie English dub DVD, which cost me $37.44 CDN (incl. GST), which works out to roughly
I don't get a lot of money these days, being without a job, so that's a bit of money I will owe some people back (who I borrowed from just to get this DVD). Thankfully I've just been approved for AISH (Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped - an Albertan gov't service for disabled people like myself), so I will be earning money soon enough...though I won't see much of it, since most of it will probably go towards rent money for my parents (who I still live with).
Still, nice to see you downloading it illegally & admitting it. When the Mounties come to your door, please bear in mind that it wasn't me who narked...
Good luck trying to get them to find me. You don't even have my current address :)
Now, if it's NOT the album version, how come all BBC Session CDs WITH MOTBQ were removed from ebay for copyright infraction, but copies without were not?
Perhaps because John works for eBay? ;)
Or you for that matter...
Post it - so that everyone can hear, or, simply admit, that it is the same.
I accept your challenge.

Dark sure is good at getting attention, but he sure has a problem with having any credibility. He is probably now mixing a MIDI to pass off as the BBC version. I can't wait to hear it ... well not really.
Also, I am glad to see that I am not the only one that noticed that Adam never misses an opportunity to belittle John.

Does Greg know that you're more concerned with painting yourself to be some kind of rarities expert, by merely downloading and leeching all the unofficial material that you can get your hands on, than actually being genuinely interested in and supportive of Queen by buying all their official albums Dark?
For the record, I DO support Queen. If I didn't, I wouldn't've bought stuff like the 46664 concert DVD, Flash 2003 remix CD-Singles and vinyls, and collaborations and shit. I'd have downloaded all that long time ago. Not to mention I wouldn't have spent as much money as I did on some of the rare vinyls I own as well.
As to my Queen CD collection, the only CD's I am missing (from the 1991 remasters anyways), are Queen thru SHA, ADATR, and Live At Wembley '86 (I own the 2003 LAWS remaster though, so I think that counts). I have all the other albums otherwise...and then some (e.g. Jewels II).
They sure sound the same to me.....and I compared it to the Hollywood CD......
Perhaps a few vocal effects, but the SAME!

OK Dark - Thank you for that. It really is genuinely appreciated. Now people will hear the authentic BBC version as supplied by GB - and they can no longer claim that this track has been witheld and that it exists just in the collections of some elitist traders.
Now could you set up another opinion poll for Queenzoners to ask them for their thoughts?
"March Of The Black Queen" BBC version. Same as the official release - Yes or No?
Whichever answer the public votes for I will agree with - and I will change my "Ultimate Collection" threads to reflect this. If I am mistaken - I WILL apologise in public. I think you deserve that much.
This way it allows the general public to judge for themselves without listening to you, to me or GB, and that way we could gain a true reflection of what people really think.
But once again, I really do thank you for uploading, as it will settle this issue once and for all - and I am very happy for you to take all the credit for that.

I shall post this in the Sharing The Music forum as well.
I'm really sorry to have caused any troubles, but I personally like sticking with whatever Greg Brooks says generally most of the time (as you may or may not have realized), as IMO he is internationally renowned as a "leading" Queen expert.
But then, I'll also admit I'm somewhat of a suck-up (or butt-kisser, for those who prefer the latter term)

I hate to point this out, and I don't mean to try and play the "Autism cards" again, but Aspergic people RARELY admit they're wrong. When we argue, we REALLY argue and try to be the last ones standing. (Makes for very interesting arguments between me and my folks, lol)
I'll make an exception this time; I WILL admit at the least that this is at LEAST 95% similar sounding to the album version for sure. I won't fully admit that I am wrong.
