I did not hear a difference in this mp3, but I have a reputation on this board of being deaf.
Hmm ... the Autism Expression Card - Don't leave home without it.

Inu: "I'll make an exception this time; I WILL admit at the least that this is at LEAST 95% similar sounding to the album version for sure. I won't fully admit that I am wrong."
That's fair enough. I can live with that, and I thank you for your posting.
I did not wish to prove you wrong - nor was it my intention to belittle you, but you would not believe the amount of people who think that "I have kept this track from them", and when they hear your version - they will STILL be disappointed and STILL believe that the BBC version remains unreleased.
Now, thanks to you, you have been able to prove once and for all, it has BEEN released - and it is THE SAME!!! Just wait a few months untill this FAQ pops up on Queenzone, then I will be able to direct all answers to you!!
Finally, what really annoys is that people will accept the word of GB as if it is the word of God - even if there is evidence to show otherwise.
Don't get me wrong - there is nothing WRONG with accepting his word as gospel (as it is the only word we have) - but not in the face of such obviously glaring evidence!
So again, thanks for the posting - as this should be the final nail in this particular coffin.

LOL.
Actually, the "playing the Autism cards" expression is one of P_G's favorite lines to use against me. I don't even really have Autism; Asperger's, while RELATED to Autism, is actually a lower form of but more high functioning than Autism.
Come on, Dark, upload the "other bits and pieces, that very few people know"
I would like to hear what else the Queen archivist shares with you - apart from fake BBC tracks.

One thing I never understood is why people take Dark seriously. I don't remember a single instance where he came across as something other than a pompous ass - at best. And still he stirrs things up and people listen to him.
Also, Adam, I don't see where JSS said any "bad things", while there certainly are MANY bad things to say about Dark.

Why does anyone even choose to have a debate with Dark, validate or invalidate what he says? It doesn't take a person of very high intelligence to see that he is seeking attention and is stubborn. With a person like Dark, it's best to ignore whatever remarks he makes like this and they will go away once he sees he's not getting the attention he wants. If you don't feed the fire, it burns out.
I'm sorry Dark, but it's true. I don't want to sound like I am attacking you but I wouldn't be doing you any favors if I didn't tell what I see. It would be for your benefit to have a more open mind about some things, not only on Queen material. I'm sure this carries over in your real life as well. Just bc Greg Brooks is declared the official Queen archivist doesn't mean he knows all there is to know about Queen. I am sure he'll readily admit to this. I bet Brian, Freddie, John, and Roger don't even remember all there is to know about Queen in every situation and they ARE/WERE Queen. Just remember things aren't always black or white.

I noticed nothing different, except maybe a few guitar parts I hadn't noticed before. After listening to the original version right after it, I realized I hadn't noticed those guitar parts for years.
EDIT: very well said, Lisser, as usual :)

Actually at 4:32 you can hear a sigh...it's barely a decibel loud but I can hear it. 'cause I'm stupid, that's why.
I'm stubborn too. Does that mean I have Aspergers Syndrome?

you are now trying to twist people words:
when you said "I hate to point this out, and I don't mean to try and play the "Autism cards" again, but Aspergic people RARELY admit they're wrong. When we argue, we REALLY argue and try to be the last ones standing. (Makes for very interesting arguments between me and my folks, lol)"
you WERE clearly playing a card - YOU WERE using it as an excuse for NOT backing down - that in ANY language - IS playing the card - whether aspergers, autism, parkinsons or fucking schizophrenia - it's still playing a card - you used an excuse when you ran out of argument
I'm stubborn too. Does that mean I have Aspergers Syndrome?
No, it means you've got Aussieitis. That's right, I went there.
let's kill this stupid argument
i've cool edit pro'd both the original album track (including the first few bars of FHLI and this mp3
- producing them both as mp3s at 192kbs to avoid loss on the "session" track
here's the results-
1. both peak and the spectrums are more or less identical
2. i cut the beginning silences to match
3. i cut the start of FHLi to match the session
4. there is slight volume differences on the studio version fade - due to the rapid fade of the "session" track
5. i've played both tracks together - and there is no audible difference
conclusion - they are clearly the same f**king track!!!
there is only one question left
why does Greg Brooks pass this track off to someone as a "legit" session track? he is an official archivist - what motive for doing this? - none that i can think of
so one question remains - Did he REALLy pass this file to our "aspergic-bound" queenzoner? or does the truth lie somewhere else? - i only pose the question

Brenski: Why does Greg Brooks pass this track off to someone as a "legit" session track? he is an official archivist - what motive for doing this?
Answer: Because it is the REAL BBC session version - and he DID pass it onto Mr. Inu as they both wanted to prove me wrong - and discredit what I have been saying all along. (It's just politics!).
I know that it is very hard to accept, but honestly, Greg has NOT passed the album track as a faked BBC version, nor is Inu's version misleading. This is indeed the GENUINE BBC version.
The truth behind this particular session is that because of time constraints, Queen only cut three tracks - instead of the contractual four. So while "Modern Times Rock ‘n Roll", "Nevermore" and "White Queen" were recorded as sessions in the true sense of the word, "March Of The Black Queen" was just the album version played over the air - therefore it was indeed part of the "broadcast session".
As Rich Tea wrote earlier: "...I've just listened to my tape from what I believe was the ORIGINAL BROADCAST Bob Harris says Queen as the tracks fading then I've cut him off. Apart from that perhaps some double tracking on "why do I follow you" but that could be tape dropout it really is showing its age. I think John is 100% (at worst 99.9%) right."
My session was also recorded live off-air AT THE TIME. My dad and I have always been audio freaks - so my version was recorded from a specialist (newly available) FM Stereo audio tuner (which needed a huge c20 feet white-stick-like antenna) onto a 7" Ampex Reel-to-Reel tape. It was all recorded on the best of equipment. Since then, I have made numerous safety copies - first onto cassettes, and latterly mini-discs and CD's.
So at least two seperate, independant witnesses testify that the "March Of The Black Queen" broadcast as part of the BBC session - was just the album version - on air.
No tricks from Greg, no dishonesty from Inu. This version has been posted before - but to cries of disbelief.
This time my thanks to Inu - who has indeed posted a genuine version - which he received (as stated) from GB. I also appreciate the time you took to Cool Edit Pro this thing, because frankly, I thought that I was beginning to lose my sanity!
So hopefully it can now FINALLY be laid to rest!!!!
THE BBC VERSION OF "MARCH OF THE BLACK QUEEN" WAS JUST THE LP VERSION BROADCAST ON-AIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yippeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!

PS. You're getting rather bitchy these days, YV. What's going on with you if I may ask?
