A very quick story.

After the recent Tsunami hit one particular island, thousands and thousands of sea creatures were left dead or stranded on the beach.

Surviving crabs, lobsters and starfish etc, were too exhausted to make it back into the water, so they just lay there dying.

A group of small children began throwing the half-dead creatures back into the sea, when some older kid arrived and laughed along the lines "It is a waste of time - you can not save them all, and you can not make any difference".

A smaller kid, holding a starfish by the tail (or is that a fin?) replied, (refering to the starfish) "It will make a BIG difference to HIM!).

Now, the story may be an urban myth, but the point is self-evident!

don't get me wrong, i have nothing against chairty. what get's me mad is being hypocritical.

well no actually iv got the DVD but how can u listen to Live Aid on ur walkman? or on ur MP3 player? u cant, and i aint seen the Audio CD yet either!

1: You buy a 2x2 phono lead and plug your DVD player into your audio set up.

2: You buy a Scart to 2x phono lead if the DVD is scart compatable and plug that into your audio set up.

3: You buy a 2x phono to mini-jack lead and plug directly into your mini-disc or MP3 player.

4: GOOGLE: DVD ripper. Rip the sound from DVD on your PC - convert into MP3.

NO excuse to LEECH "Live Aid" - PERIOD.

Actually there are a couple of ways:

1) Buy a portable DVD player. While they are a bit expensive (ranging around $400-$700 CDN), and have a few hours of battery life (depending on model), these are convenient for short road trips

2) Invest in an internal DVD-player that you can install in a car (best left to the professional car installation shops to install) - better solution than above, but more expensive; worth it at the same time. (A 5.1 surround sound speaker and decoder set would enhance the experience at the same time as well. Not too expensive if I am right)


I used to work in a home theatre store for a short bit, so I know some of these things.

Look, I might be a total pirate, having downloaded Teo Torriatte because it wasn't readily available and I'm on the verge of being unable to pay for the internet and all the other bills at the moment - but I wouldn't get Live Aid, because it's a charity thing.

It's a pathetic ideology I suppose - leeching from rich people isn't as bad as leeching from charity, I dunno, maybe that makes me hypocritical. But I couldn't be comfortable downloading Live Aid.

Ok rite, forst off i had no idea how to connecct the DVD player to the pc, second, there is no point gettin a portable DVD player in ur car especially if ur driving, u will get distracted, just like when u use a mobile fone! and thirdly like i sed earlier i have got the DVD, the reasons iv got it is:
1-Queen,
2-All the other great artists
3- ITS FOR CHARITY!
p.s, to show how much i like giving to charity i held a charity Talent show last night called PCHS LIVE AID (PCHS is my skool) which raised over £870, all going to Oxfam! and im still raising money!

Ok im not sayin im mr goody two shoes or anyhting to make me seem the best person on here but if you look at this you will see people taering each other apart, i think we need to stop argueing over ourselves and think of those who REALLY need our help, like all those people in Africa, yelling on at each other about it will not help anyone so can we please pull ourselves together and do wots right and try to save as many poor lifes as we can, iv already started, iv got £870 behind my name goin to Oxfam with more on the way, so can anyone else do something like that and help those who really really need it, "is this the world we created?", just think of that song.
