Like of Barrowlands and the Garage are defo too small really but Ingleston or going along the REM road would be great failing an Secc date.

the Barrowlands would be AMAZING, bowie has played it!!!! Anyway I'm still looking forward to Newcastle and Manchester, but a home gig is always special

Agreed Barrowlands would be fantastic but think they'd have to do a couple nites there, not entirely sure of the capacity mind you, but with the probs getting just one night organised...

They won't play at Barrowlands, it's too small (1900 seats). Here are some other alternatives:
Glasgow Braehead Arena 5200
Edinburgh Ingliston Royal Highland Centre 5000
Aberdeen AECC 7000

Maybe Glasgow Academy but I reckon it's also too small (2200)

Personally, I hope they play Edinburgh - Playhouse or even Murrayfield.

Or even (being completely insane) playing Stirling Universities Students Union again (ok - so I'm Based there!) after the 1974 gig where there was a riot, that 3rd encore wouldn't be minded today!!!

Apart from that - I can't wait to see what Brian's reply will be, knowing Brians Soapbox, he'll probably moan again about 'this moron' because he knows that Billy made a great point!

... I think the journalist is missing a point here: with a couple of exceptions, for this tour QP selected venues with a capacity above 10000, up to 17000 in some cases, which means virtually all the venues he mentioned are below the requisites...

Well the initial point this journalist made was that Queen had snubbed Scotland but in this article he makes it known that they tried to set up a gig there (though he says they didn't try hard enough). It's easier said than done to organize a tour like this so I'm with Brian here, they did try.

Sorry, but didn't Brian say that they hadn't found a suitable venue YET ! That means they're still looking and they will play Scotland. No doubt this sad Journo will claim the credit when they do. This is all much ado about nothing. Brian said at the outset that they would play Scotland in the Autumn, explaning the reasons for the delay and apologising to the fans. It's one thing for a venue to say a hypothetical 'yes' they are available to a journalist out to score points, but quite another to actually negotiate contracts with tour promotors.

Yeah maybe you're lucky enough to get an outside concert if they come up with something soon.
Maybe at one of these venues:
Glasgow Glasgow Green
Glasgow Bellahouston Park
Glasgow Ibrox Park
Glasgow Hampden Park
Edinburgh Murray Field

Ibrox...Hampden...Murrayfield..would be great too but capacity of those is well over the 10-12,000

There is also Rugby Park, Kilmarnock (Elton John is playing there)
