Freddie's Songwriting Versus the rest of Queen

Freddie 1st
Roger 2nd
John 3rd
Brian 4th

Are you mad? Brian is a better song writer in my opinion. Roger only uses the straight forward rock chords on his 70's and early 80's songs. Like SHA and Rock It (don't get me wrong, I still love them) but Brian can come up with amazing riffs and hooks and he is a wonderful writer. Brian is the only person who comes close to being able to write something that can compete with Freddie's complex songs. I love songs by all 4 members of Queen, but my favourite is Brian.

I think we definatly lucked out because we, in Queen, had 4 AMAZING songwriters. I applaud them all and none of them can be called bad songwriters. There are certain songs that if you like music you can't fault like IWTBF, WATC, Radio Ga Ga, Spread Your Wings, CLTCL, Somebody To Love, Save Me, Sail Away Sweet Sister etc.

But Brian is the man(IMO).

freddie is my favorite, after that it's gets difficult to say, all are great song writers, but the way i see it, Freddie, then Brian, John, and roger are close, Early years john is the better one, but later roger was better, so roger and john are even.

I'd have to go with:
1a. Brian (great riffs & lyrics)
1b. Fred (greatest hits)
3. John (beats Roger on the strength of SYW alone)
4. Roger (his early work kind of sucks (IILWMC), but I love AKM and TATDOOL)
