I think it is awful that they had to shut down. Why should the industry go after bootleg sites when there are still hundreds of proud piracy sites. It seems that piracy should be a much higher priority.

I tried to burn this DVD, and all I could do is watch it from the start. No song selection or skipping etc.

The menu is shown, and I can select songs, but whenever I press play, it starts at the beginning :(

We're very sorry having to tell you that we had to shut down EZT forever just a couple of minutes ago.
We got a call from our provider, they had received a few letters from a couple of lawyers. They requested EZT to be shut down immediately, otherwise we and the hosting service would be sued.
As you may imagine, we do not have the funds to fight a battle we most probably can't win anyway.
We would like to thank everyone here for their contributions to EZT, one way or the other, for sharing the music, sharing an ideal, for all your mails, rants, praises...

I don't think torrenting the laserdisc rip of the rock in rio concert constitutes unofficial releases...
It's great that you will be opening up the site for people to post torrents. I just hope no one will be allowed to post their lossy crap (no offense). Maybe a 20 second mp3 snippet can be allowed to illustrate sound quality. Just an idea.
