What do you expect from a magazine that puts Britney Spears, 50 Cent, and Justin Timberlake on the cover 20 times a year.

Yeah, yeah, I know it's old and these lists are all subjective anyway. But why does Rolling Stone hate Queen so much? They've had a bias against them for years to the point of it being kind of pathetic...
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.
Rolling Stone has been ragging on Queen since the 1970's and I have no idea why. So did Creem Magazine (now defunct) but was very powerful in the 1970's.

But as a red blooded American...I always loved and still love Queen! Why they are as true blue as the red, white and blue. I salute Queen!!!!

To hell with Rolling Stone, 50 Cent my ass!

Exactly! By the way, is Rolling Stone getting even worse than they were before? I wonder what people in the Pink Floyd forums think.

Well surprisingly they remembered the Kinks and Roxy Music. No Supertramp, ELP, Jethro Tull or even YES of course...I remember when their albums were in Rolling Stone's Top 100 albums in the early '90s ironically. Even ELO's "Eldorado" used to be one of Rolling Stones Top 50 albums. And why are the Beach Boys so high up? I know they made Pet Sounds but come on....
"I have no time for Time magazine. Or Rolling Stone." Jethro Tull
I havent seen the list yet, dont really care too, seeing they do a "Top 100..." something every other month or so nowadays...I would assume because they dont have talent there that can write an article mabye...
But as I was saying, I havent seen the list, but I would bet Bob Dylan is number 1. Dylan has been number 1 in every other Rolling Stone Top 100 whatever list Ive ever seen...
Number 1 songwriter of all time= Bob Dylan
Number 1 preformer of all time= Bob Dylan
Number 1 short guy with curly hair of all time= Bob Dylan

Gee - one would think that Joe Perry would have nominated Queen, since Queen and Aerosmith always ran neck and neck and Joe and Brian went off and got completely bombed out of their gourds at one point early in their careers...
Its very obvious why Queen isnt on the list. There is no way that an American Magazine would allow openly flambouyant glam artists like Freddie Mercury, or bands associated with them like Queen on the list. Especially a "foreign" band. Notice how theres no David Bowie either. Its utter shit, and to be honest, Rolling Stone magazine isnt worthy enough to feature Queen. Queen are far beyond any kind of critic in the United States.

Another reason could be that the artists who chose the bands for the list may have naturally assumed Queen was on it, and so didnt bother to vote for them, although that sounds ridiculous.

So who knows really, but its not like it matters. The fact that there are so many Queen fans out there speaks for itself.
