Actually, he has just announced that he has left Van Hagar, and there are rumours of Dave re-joining. They are all older now, they should bury the hatchett, or whatever they say.
There are as many chances of David Lee Roth joining Van Halen as Axl Rose bringing back together the original members of Guns N' Roses, or Roger Waters re-joining Pink Floyd,

When they made the Greatest Hits I believe David Lee came in and recorded like 3 new songs, but then he didn't want to get back together which I think is lame...It's also funny they left out Gary Cherone. Whoever is the lead singer I could care less, it's the guitar that really get's me...
