The last three songs (In my list) are pisswank but the rest of the songs are good. Therefore NOTW recieves a Leppar rating of 8/10.

Surely Brian's excellent flamenco guitar work in Who Needs You? redeems that song??

BTW does anyone else find the high pitched noises near the end of sheer heart attack damn annoying?

I agree, I think it's a great song.

nice bass line too - he always seemed a little more reserved , live.

Prob just to leave a little more space.

1) It's Late - incredible, one of their Top 5. This song is Queen at their hard rock best(10/10)

2) Who Needs You - love the guitar in this song (10/10)

3) Spread Your Wings - awesome, go to sing along to (10/10)

4) All Dead, All Dead - one of their best slow songs (10/10)

5) We Will Rock You - a classic, guitar solo at the end is pure rock (9.5/10)

6) Fight From the Inside - Roger's best song IMO (9.5/10)

7) We are the Champions - Freddie's at his best here (9/10)

8) Sheer Heart Attack - Cool song, it's saying a lot about this album that S.H.A. is only 8th (8.5/10)

9) Sleeping on the Sidewalk - I like the rawness of it, fun song (7.5/10)

10) Get Down, Make Love - some cool parts, but most of it is bland and whatever that sound is at the end, it just doesn't work (6.5/10)

11) My Melancholy Blues - doesn't have much of a direction to it, average at best (6/10)

Overall, I'd say it's my 3rd favorite album, behind ANATO and QII. Most of the songs are great, Get Down Make Love and My Melancholy Blues being the low points for me (the latter I can just turn off the CD and end with the incredible It's Late anyway). WE've all heard WWRY and WATC way too many ties, but I think it's amazing that they hold up after all these years and after hearing them 10,000 times. It's, IMO, the most "rock" of any of their albums and I have no idea why they didn't continue the trend with Jazz (one of their worst). It's definetely unique from anything they did before it, so its really stands out as being one of their greatest in my mind.
