That's why I said...Geldof is foulmouthed and often abrasive...but inside he is a GOOD guy...and uses his very abrasive arrogance...to deal with alot of red tape, hypocritical, pencil pushers that don't give a F**K about the world and social injustices. Hey... I get so many "crying wolf" put ons on QZ,...I didn't know if you were joking with me or being SERIOUS with me. Glad you were serious and the story is true cuz I love Geldof and of course I LOVE Freddie and I'm happy they formed a nice rapport and ongoing genuine friendship and working relationship.
Have you watched the Fashion Aid footage on my other topic? When Freddie chases Bob around and off the stage, they BOTH act like 2 playful kids having a blast, and Bob (not a person with the best or most easygoing temperment), is still having a blast and is laughing his ass off with Freddie, as Freddie grabs him and brings Geldof back to the stage and pats Geldof on the back. Really adorable! :)

frog from what i gather jacko was the last person between the two of them to phone asking freddie to go to states to finish tracks etc but freddie was in the middle of a tour so then jacko asked if he minded if jagger did it so.... also freddie and pheobie were in stitches laughing and bitching in freddies limo after leaving jacko's home at jacko's terrible taste , another tit-bit for ya while recording those tracks freddie sneaked off to the loo for his coke he was back an forward every 5mins until he was off his nut with coke all round his nose and puffing away on ciggies lollll thats freddie for ya true rock star! hey you never know whos to say freddie got wind of jacko with kids back then and totally shund him b/c at that time jacko was a queen nut who used to go to all there shows!!! then all of a sudden there friendship was gone which i dont think was due to freddies coke and ciggies!! remember jacko working with slash who used to like to party so its something to think about!!!:)

The falling out of Freddie and Michael Jackson is a rumor. I've never seen any proof or read or heard any proof from anyone having to do with Queen or Freddie at all, to say it was drugs that Michael stopped being Freddie's friend.
It's in the Uncut Magazine, the story about Michael...supposedly catching Freddie doing cocaine in the recording studio. True or not, on a hypocritical note, if Freddie were still alive, can you imagine what Freddie would think about Michael...

You know what's weird about that. I have ALWAYS read that Freddie INDEED DID CO-write "State Of Shock" with Michael Jackson (they just didn't record it together because they had a falling out), but....when you fact check the publishing writing credits for the song...it does NOT list Freddie at all. I always wondered if Freddie didn't copyright his part of the credit & publishing rights because he & Jackson had that falling out. But I have read...dozens of times that Freddie DID CO-WRITE that song with Jackson.
Kind of like the Queen songwriting credits we first read from th 1986 period on...that NOW we are learning is Incorrect...and who REALLY wrote what.
