I think music, popular culture, and just the people of the world are in for some very bad times. This Pope is out of the Dark Ages with his archaic viewpoints.
I read either on this thread or somewhere else, how centuries ago, the Church & The Pope back then approved of slavery and intolereance of other religions. What about the Crusades and the Warrior Pope during Michalangelo's time, where the Pope...was a soldier..who led armies of "God" into battle to kill "heathons and sinners" (translation anyone who didn't follow the Cathloic Church).
What about the Spanish Inquisition where anyone who didn't follow Catholic dictrine was tortured to convert and say they were a sinner, and if they didn't they were put to death. Just cause a mortal man is elected Pope by other mortal men..does not mean the words and actions he follows are those of God, Jesus, or are right.
This New Pope is a sanctimonious, hardline, intolerant, archaic megolomaniac who from what I heard, has a "history" in his youth with the Nazi party and of defrocking other priests who disagree with him...I'm looking forward to his reign. NOT!
