5-10 % of packages are lost or broken.
Maybe you are unable to make a nice package that survives transport I don´t know. My own experience is totally different. I´ve never lost any package and I´ve never received any broken discs from a trader nor have I ever received complaints that the discs I sent have arrived damaged. Never.
[QUOTENAME]Rip Van Winkle wrote: [/QUOTENAME]International shipments average 3 weeks
That is simply not true. I live in Germany, from here to the U.S it takes 5-7 days, to most other European countries 2-4 days. I´ve sent out packages to Japan, Australia and Brazil and it never took more than 2 weeks, in most cases the discs arrived significantly earlier. I don´t think the differences to other European postal services are great.

I read plenty, Rafael, but it's all the same.

You should read more before saying shit. If you had read other topids you'd know that my broadband began to work this friday, but the network isn't set yet, so I'm on my dad's computer, which has only gigs that I've downloaded this weekend and are still available on QZ, and that I'm gonna upload Tokyo 9th May 1985 on RapidShare for anyone who wants when my network is working perfectly, which may take a few days.
That paragraph alone has three excuses (plus the insult). Stop making excuses for yourself and start doing something about it. If you want to trade, then either send through the mail (amazing how many other people actually do it) or trade online. Your computer and network not up to the task? Then wait.
But all I see on QZ are your excuses intermixed with requests for material. I gave you suggestions on how to trade, but it seems you are the one who should read more, Rafael.

20gb, that are about 30 concerts in flac. Pffff i think there are a plenty off people who own more than 30 concerts. Even I own more than 30 concerts. And I`m collecting for an half year now.
Mr.X., what is also rare. I know that for example Housten and Drammen are rare. Could you mention more examples.

Would YOU trade your "rarities" with someone who only has mp3 to offer?
That's not the point (really, re-read my posts). There are many other posters on QZ who are in the same situation as you. Try finding them and working out trades. Maybe they have stuff you don't have, and vice versa.

Anyway, this section is called "Sharing the Music - Request", so it's made to request.
And this thread it titled "The Alternative is ... Trading." And it's made to give advice on trading (fancy that). You complained as to why you can't trade, I offered alternatives to your excuses.

Interesting comment considering I never used profanity toward you.

I've traded for a while with over 200+ shows, Queen-Solo and about 50 for LZ, a pretty nice size collection( comparable to MrScully's, enough to drive my wife insane with how much I have)
for this tour I prefer MP3, it's a nice tour, good to hear the songs, but nothing to get over excited about, I never complain about the qauilty of these shows
while trading is nice when you want so much, but for a few casual shows, d/l is the nice option

If you don't want to trade, then why even post in this thread about trading?
Here I thought this thread was about trading and the various problems associated with it. Guess I was wrong.

Since I'm a real bastard and I'm already hated by half of this board, I would like to point out what happens in this thread:
A person uploaded a torrent with 19 concerts in mp3 and SOMEONE complained because he already had 3 of them and requested them separated on rapidshare.
Not even a "thank you", just a request. Such a great person.

seems pretty pointless trying to trade anything in here.
I've never asked for a single freebie on QZ - i'm not a cheeky f**ker - but what i don't understand is the unwillingness to trade concerts with those who genuinely have something to offer.
One example is that I feel i made a significant contribution around here over Christmas with the Bo Rhap Story. I sent about a dozen digital crystal clear DVDs - direct from TV all over the planet during december - to qzoners and people of the alt.music.queen list. I wasn't looking for stuff in return - a couple of nice people sent some CDRoms (thanks)- but i could easily have said "i'll exchange it for houston", but i didn't - stupid me huh? i'll remember not to be so fucking naive next time - you get nothing for being nice!. the documentary would probably be only available to most as a crap quality mpg file if i hadn't sent a dozen copies to Europe, UK and USA - at my own time and expense - these in turn have been copied and sent on to others - it was the oNE condition i asked everyone i sent a copy to.
Sad thing is how precious some people can be - "Houston is rare, it should stay that way" - and how quickly some forget. fine, and the next time people email me asking for copies of whatever documentary i will reply "it's rare it should stay that way"
sorry for being bitter - but all i was looking for was trades for three concerts, but i suppose if there's a law that stays they have to stay rare then who the fuck am i to argue - or share f-all with anyone from now on for that matter?
liverpool 73, golders green 73 and houston 77 in their complete forms - it's not as if i'm asking the earth - just a fucking trade! or what about if one or two of those i sent the bo-rhap/freddie's millions dvd to had a copy of these and returned the favour? not likely huh? people forget too damned quick around here

Hey Martin. I can assure you that I appreciate your generosity, as I'm sure the people who benefitted by way of receiving copies of your stuff through me do. I too sent out numerous copies of the Bo Rhap/ Freddies Millions DVD over Xmas, some were traded, as I'm just starting out on the collecting path, but I was also happy to send copies to people who had nothing to trade. Rest assured that If I ever come across what you're looking for (unlikely I know, but it could happen), you'll be the first to know.
P.s. If you read this Jmi, typing this has reminded me that I promised you a copy of the Bo Rhap DVD ages ago. Sorry my friend, I'll get on to it tonight !!

I'm not Mr.X, but I can give you more examples:
- Kanazawa 1979, VG+, audience
- Liverpool 1977, complete soundboard recording
- Champions Shoot 1977, first generation
- Rotterdam 1979, alternate source
- Milwaukee 1975, complete, excellent quality
- Philadelphia 1977 (second night), only 5 or 6 songs in excellent quality
Just to mention a few...

where did i say they were all FLAC?
the majority of theta 20gb (about 65%) is mp3
the same applies to the rare/demo stuff
theres 120+ concerts there
this doesn't included the other gbs of video, midis, pictures, solos, instrumentals, and interviews - all told approx 65gb

Sorry Rafael,
But I also have to agree.
Don't become a leach, who's begging and even not thanking. It's just mp3 shows aren't rare.
In other words: mp3-sourced shows are crap!

Anyone knows what the number one rare concert is? I mean, what`s the most difficult concert to get? I`ve always wanted to know this.
I`m also looking for the Drammen concert, but have no clue what i must give for this rare concert.
