Amazing set list (same was in Cardiff though), great performance (Paul was AWESOME).
Roger forgot the lyrics to These Are The Days... Audience was... CRAP!!!! That was the worsyt gig, when it gets to that, sorry Sheffield. Close to the stage, whole families who know only Greatest Hits. When Roger was playing breathtaking version of I'm In Love... they were standing wandering "What the hell is that?" I felt like I was the only one clapping or having fun... Brian sabg WHOLE 39- again, some didn't know what was it (the other half made up for them singing beautifully though...)
Sheffield audience SUCKED big time, it was only great during Ga-Gas and We Will Rock You and the likes... What was funny- ppl were just standing during "Love My Car" and suddenly became alive during Guitar Solo (he plays the same fuckin' thing every night!), just because the camera was on them...
The gig was greatm although IMO the ULTIMATE gig (when it gets to PERFORMANCE) was Manchester. The best setlist- yes, Sheffield (Cardiff was in different order, but the audience was great)...
Dunno- have mixed feelings. Band was great, up for it, focused; it IS going to be a great DVD. But they'll have to edit nicely the footage, to cover all those ppl that were just standing...
Dunno- maybe those who saw only that gig thought the audience was good. That was my fifth gig and it was the worst one (AUDIENCE, not gig). Sorry.

Where we at the same concert Fenderek? The crowd were rocking, we just about lifted the roof off at the end. I didn't join in with I'm in Love With My Car because shock horror, like a lot of other people, I absolutely hate it.
Kudos to Brian shedding a tear during Love Of My Life, that really did give me goosebumps.

Probably we werent at the same gig... :) OR- how many gigs have you seen?
It was simply the worst udience I saw at this tour. PPl were alive during hits (GaGa, WWRY etc) , dead during less known tracks (if 39 is really that rare...), than alive again when the camera was in their faces... I was standing in the second row to the catwalk, right side of the stage (in front of Brian) and even there it was full of families who couldn't recognise 39... It was the quiter version of LOML I've heard. Honestly, some were more interested in being on DVD than seeing a gig and supporting a band.
I repeat- pitty, as when the band oplayed the begining, it was AMAZING- incredible energy, probably the best on tour so far. But with energy it goes like that- you giv esome and you need some back from the audience, so you can give even more... The audience didn't give too much back, the gig died... It was good, sure. It's going to be excellent DVD. But in Manchester, Birmingham or Cardiff the audience really rocked...

Yeah, exactly- at the end... Because everybody knows WWRY, and Champions. But hey- there were about 25 other songs in the setlist...
I was there & i knew every word to every song except some of Paul's stuff. Got to admit tho apart from a woman beside me & a girl behind me no one seemed to know the words to the non-greatest hits stuff.
Every one really clapped & cheered hard tho. A mate of mine was at the back & he said the noise from the crowd was very loud up there. I was up against the barrier at the front about 4 feet along from Brian & it sounded a bit quiet behind me between songs & there seemed to be a bit of reverb off the back wall at times so you were getting an echo effect at times. Great show though & awesome setilist.
Cheers guys,dream come true!!!

That was one helluva good show, I was expecting Paul Rodgers to be good but not as fantastic as he turned out to be, jeez can that man sing! As people have already said on this forum, the naysayers of this tour really do need to hang their heads in shame if they claim to be fans of the music of Queen... that was quite something, definite added bonus that come Chrimbo or whenever I'll have the ultimate souvenir of it in all :o)
The crowd were quite varied in their reactions to it all, as someone said before they came alive for the big big hits, did the handclapping for Radio Ga Ga etc but from way up in the distant seats as I was you could observe the floor crowd who didn't "seem" to be jumping around very much... perhaps those down there could say more definitely on that, as for stand seats such as where I was, you had a lot of middle aged folk who couldn't move and make much noise even if they wanted to!, my little group made what noise we could! hurrah!
Oh well, anyway, definitely a fantastic evening's entertainment... Ian Hunter at Leeds Irish Centre next week... another show to look forward, bit smaller scale mind :o)

Gosh, I will I was there!

know what you mean fenderek.... i thought some folk had took a wrong turn and should have been at the bingo. where i was my sister and i sang every song on our feet. no one else even got up except at the bits you mentioned
Hi All, I was there, on the main floor. The gig was awsome and Brians guitar solo was the best performance of it I have heard and seen. I sang and knew the words to all the songs, like someone else said about half sang to 39, but that will happen at every major gig ( not just Queen ), Not everyone knows all the lyrics. Rogers performance was moving and Pauls delivery perfect. And the crowd did rock in all the right places. A fantastic night and I can't wait for the DVD. Alright now was delivered well too, and there are going to be plenty of spots where the crowd are heard. Thanks guys for a memorable night.
I'm sure they'll edit DVD nicely, I'm sure. It's gonna look like the wildest crowd there ever was...
why were there so many tall guys in the audience at Sheffield?? I seemed to have a whole posse of them in front of me!! Was only about 10 peple back from the stage but struggled to see at times!!
"Funny how the pages turn and hold us in between...."
"Funny how the pages turn and hold us in between...."
stormtrooperinstilettoes I know what you mean, there was loads of tall fellas, I was about 15ft in front of the catwalk and had to keep jumping up and down to see stuff. We breed them big up north.
Fenderek you are right about the crowd relative to the other dates.I was on the ground Brians side. It was a subdued audience. I felt like i was duetting with Brian on LOML !!
I took my son , his first major concert , he's 11 and he snag his heart out for at least 75% of the concert.Far more than a lot of the fuckers that just stood motionless waiting for fucking WWRY no doubt.
As i said earlier, great performance but Newcastle pissed on this for atmosphere.
P.S yes too many tall people.Ban 'em !

I was on Brians side of the catwalk too - lots of lovelt lovely people there. Lots of families - mums and dads with kids who had gotten into the music. Wish I could have takne my kids but they are only 2 and 4. The tall people all seemed to be studenty age - too many pot noodles if you ask me.
I live in yorkshire myself though orginally from down south. I must say I was amazed at how helpful the staff were at the arena - even down to a car park bloke who let us park in the staff car park so that we wouldn't have to walk too far back to the car (being two women and all that). I remember staff at the Hammersmith odeon and wembley arena being really officious at queen gigs.
