So who booked the wembley arena - was it not the same people who were calling it a crap venue tonight - IE Brian and Roger....
So who sold the front blocks of tickets to the VIP package companies and not the fans who logged onto ticketmasters web site the minute they opened only to find that all the front seats had gone ? (A VIP package company told me this)

Wise up people, the band are cashing in, they always did and are still milking it.
The gig was not as good as Brixton from an intamacy perspective. I would have hated it if I was on the floor level. It was still crap at the Back but at least you could see the light show well and the band if you had good eyesight Can you beleive they sell bonoculars to people at the back. !!!!!
The music was good, the venue and hypocritical verbage not so good !

While getting away from the concert here, apart from the London Arena, where else in London could have staged this concert?? London hasn't really got a venue to match Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield or Birmingham.
Till this gets sorted, Wembley will always be used. While not being a fan of London, I do feel that it's something of a disgrace that they haven't a facility to match those around the country. Maybe as a part of the legacy of this Olympic bid, they will build a large multi event arena, similar the MEN Arena in Manchester.

I was disappointed with the venue, as it was very long and thin, and being on the first bank of tiered seating I was almost at the back, and really couldn't see any detail. I figured that the light show was less than other gigs, and it seems so.
I can see that the sound was probably not as good, and it definitely wasn't the same atmosphere as Brixton, although I think the performance was better. If I could've watched that performance at Brixton, but with all the lights, then that would've been perfect.
As for who's responsible for booking Wembley? Well, it's probably more Jim Beach and the promotors than Brian or Roger. I bet the first time they saw it was when they rolled up for the soundcheck. They had to rely on their management. Maybe there was no better alternative? I might have even preferred Earls Court though than this.
But nevermind, it was still great fun. I was stunned when every single person in the crowd was on their feet when Beautiful Day started - and they hadn't even dimmed the house lights yet!!! I think 99.9% of the crowd was on its feet for the whole show and were in good voice.
I think there were a group of three girls who were most amused at me and my mate belting out all the songs they obviously didn't know ('39, IILWMC etc), but we didn't care. We had grown up musically to this stuff.
Great night regardless of the problems. Looking forward to Hyde Park!!!

Earls Court (God forsaken hole that it is) should have held the Queen gig. Reason it wasn't chosen is because it was previously booked.

I was in block B5 quite near the front (in terms of seat rows(Row : 23) on the left hand side and the view from there was pretty bad. God knows what it was like for anyone who was even further away. They should seriously consider re-opening the Arena as soon as possible (never thought I would be saying that).
The main problems with the tent was :
1) It is all seated ( even though everybody decided to stand for the whole concert). Why not just get rid of the seats.
2) It is way to long and thin. They could have had a nice long catwalk to help the people at the back to see something, but it was the usual length. I guess if they had a longer one to reach the people at the back it would have taken Brian half and hour to get back to the main stage after doing 39/Love Of My Life.
The usual glitter ball effect during Last Horizon
was poor due to the only spotlight being used to highlight it was right at the back of the tent. The effect did not even reach the front half of the tent. The ball being in the middle of the tent.
3) The acoustics were poor, even though I think the lads were on pretty good form.
The guy who said he listened outside probably had a better view than half the people inside ;-)
Of the 5 gigs I have been to on this Tour this is by far the worst venue.

The setlist was the same as Sheffield (see post above) with a slight change in the early running order around AOBTD/CLTCL/UP.
I thought all the lads were on top form. Intro tracks were the usual Beautiful Day Remix and Lose Yourself, Paul appeared from behind the curtain for Reaching Out closely followed by Brian for Tie Your Mother Down. And the show progressed well. Best tracks on the night I think were Say Its Not True, I Want It All, The Show Must Go On, Hammer To Fall.
To sum up despite the venue the lads put up a sterling performance.

At 5'11 in Block D I caught glimpses but many of the crowd around me sat down throughout because there was no point in standing. Two people next to me had come down from Scotland and left in disgust after 45 mins. What an awful venue! And who took the decision not to have cctv and screens so that people could at least see something? Queen I guess - sad!

I had no problems with the sound - the bass was fantastic where I was. However, I spoke to a guy on the way home who said that at the back it was nowhere near loud enough. He said they could talk normally and hear each other. That's pathetic!
Highlights to me were 39/LOML and Under Pressure. The Paul songs were good too, apart from Wishing Well - my that was awful.
The songs before the gig were shockingly bad too. As is £3.50 for a bottle of piss-water aka Carling.

Wembley Pavilion What a shithole!! i dont blame Queen. but worst concert venue i have ever been for view. stage was about 10 foot high plus the stewards were stopping people taking photos food and drink in the venue was a complete rip off and the sound was not great. Wembley should be

I agree. I was on the tiered seating at the back, so could see over people, but couldn't see much detail as they were too far away. Surely it couldn't have taken much to get some live feed to the screen behind the stage?
But again, it's Queen's management and the tour promoter who should really be sorting that out. Presumably it would have cost them money....

Even worse - some of them stand on chairs. Luckily we were at the end of a row as my mate was behind a family and the son stood on his chair for the whole show. At least my mate could move into the corridor and view it from there.
See the temporary Wembley Pavilion is taking some shit...crap venue, poor sound etc but what do you really expect from a makeshift tent only erected so that London has another arena until the Arena is re-opened. Agree that Earls Court should have been used or even possibly Docklands (but probably too far out...is it still being used?)

That's my 2 cents on Wembley but looks as though the set was great with another top notch performance even though some fans are complaining about the f****** sound.

The security were quite unreasonable last night and quite heavy. Brilliant show though, but it lacked in atmosphere for some reason. Great to see Roger hasn't lost his touch.
