Dear Barbara!
I really didn't want to attack you or make you angry. When I saw your review I was just a little irritated to read about things you hated. I just never expected to read words like these from you. I tried to urge you into an amicable dispute, nothing more. I didn't want to be unfair to you. Moreover my knowledge of English seems obviously not be good enough, cause - when I read over my postings again - I didn't find sometimes the right words. I would be much better in German! - I fully respect your (re)view, but please allow me to see everything through the rosy glasses, as I am a nonsignificant, blonde Austrian who has nothing else left in his life to glorify ... ;)
And: My list of adversities was absolutely not meant to ridicule you!
We are friends, aren't we?
To vlad_bg_1999: Please forgive me, the wording of "Eastern-block-streets" was meant as a joke, but I admit, it was distasteful. I do appreciate the formerly Eastern-Block-countries being now part of the European Union and I'm really looking forward to see Bulgaria, Romania, hopefully Croatia, Bosnia etc. as part of this community soon.
Cheers!

Of course we are friends, Fredo:) I envy you for your rosy glasses but believe me, I had a lot of fun just like you - and still find the tour logo ugly :) I bought tickets for Cologne - are you coming?
Btw, I spoke to a fan in Frankfurt about the empty stool and he thought it was for Brian to put his sixpence on (!) He had seen 4 concerts and he must have seen any available video footage of Brian and Freddie performing LOML but the meaning of the empty stool escaped him. I think we discuss here about a lot of things many people don't even notice:)

I hope if the tour hits the US the "Roger girls" will have run out of money.
If I'm stuck next to some Roger girls, they'll be getting more than a STFU from me. Good on you Greg for shushing them.
Thanks, Lisser! It was the only thing to do...

Exactly. Only people who visit Queen internet forums every day or download plenty of bootlegs notice such things. Same goes for Brian on the roof - only English people or Queen addicts got that joke, or for Paul staring at the monitors all the time or forgetting five words in Show Must Go On... Ordinary people sitting on their seats only care if Radio GaGa and We Will Rock You is played.

No scottish dat, what can I say?....shite!!!
I only went to one, Birmingham had a chance tp go to Wembley but decided on Hyde Park instead. Thank god. Anyway thought the show was excellent but one teensy little quibble. I know I'm In Love With My Car and '39 were there but I would have loved to hear more album tracks. Perhaps In The Lap Of The Gods (revisited) or Great King Rat. Or even a return to the medley.
I know this tour was (mainly) for the people who buy Greatest Hits I, II and III so half of them wouldn't have heard of Liar, Great King Rat but it would have been nice to slip something in for the hardcore fan. Nevermind I'll have to wait for Hyde Park to hear the 23 minute medley of I Go Crazy and A Human Body with a litte bit of Stealin'!

LOL
Yeah the Roger girls did go to a few of the gigs- GregM- yes you were talking to them in Birmingham- they had the photo album with all the pix of them with Roger! There is a photo of them on www.paulrodgers.com/photos at the Cardiff gig! (and yes I am a mad Roger fan too!!)

I think they only went to Brixton, Birmingham and Cardiff on this tour so I doubt they will be going to the US but I could be wrong.
Ok my summary-
Getting ill half was through the two weeks of the UK part of the tour was not good and the security guards were not nice at Manchester or Sheffield but apart from that it was all great!!
The difference between Brixton where they seemed quite nervous and Paris where the crowd was going mad and the band were relaxed was amazing to experience!!
I met loads of people on the UK leg of the tour and everyone was lovely! Belfast and Dublin were the best shows I went to I think and Brixton the worst. Brian May was so cool when we met him in Newcastle- Gavin asked if he minded us taking flash photos from the front row and he said he didn't mind at all (after he stopped the show when the guy in the crowd was filimg). Brian also had a Free CD in his hand which I thought was cool! :) I loved Sheffield where Roger messed up the words to These are the days of our lives- that will probably be edited for the DVD!
The downside is I am still ill now and had to go home from work sick yesterday- the upside- 3 shows to go!!!

Hi Sarah! Greg from Pittsburgh here. We were in line together at Birmingham.
Your photos are fantastic. Well done.
I'm sorry to hear you're sick, though. All that travel and queuing must've worn your body out!
Hope you feel better,
Greg
