It makes me cringe as well as being almost ashamed of being Queen fan!
What's wrong with Queen fans???? Yes- Freddie was a genius, probably was 10 feet tall, had a huge cock, was hot as hell; hadn't he died he would have surely won Nobel Prize in science as well as literacy and probably a Peace Award as well, he would have recorded Bohemian Rhapsody reLoaded and all the gigs they would have played for free because he was such a philanthrope... he would have stopped war in Iraq as well as poverty... the biggest human being ever... Give me a break. After listening to this kinda crap from Sharon or BPP and now few others every bloody day you actually stop liking the guy... Bloody hell- I have to play Death On Two Legs again, once again forgot that he reallly WAS good... Does being fan mean being fanatic?

No- I know I'm not going to change anyone's view, I'm not even trying. This is merely a rant- how I feel about the whole worshipping...

sorry, have to disagree...he is/was my idol...but let;s face some facts...he WAs a rich spoilt hedonistic playboy who did what he wanted WHEN he wanted and with WHOM he wanted...he found out he was dying and had NO CHOICE but to deal with it....face facts people...the thousands of people who find out they have terminal illnesses EVERY fucking day are brave...FM was not brave, he was THE archetect of his own destruction and had NO CHOICE but to deal with it...his constant denial of his illness forced him to choose no other path than braveness....
one final point those that shag themselves into an early grave ARE NOT BRAVE, they are stupid (he's still my hero) but a fucking stupid one, nonetheless....cancer patients are fucking brave.... end of sermon!

I think that some fans think their idols can do no wrong. At the end of the day Freddie was human and had all the fraliaties we all have.

From my point of view I do not give a damn if he was gay, he did not ram it down our throats (no pun intended ;)) but lived the way he wanted.

He was still my idol, but at the end of the day it is the music that lives on, Thius has been proved by the current tour and the success of WWRY.

Let`s face it, he was human like the rest of us. He had his faults and did some mistakes, but don`t we all have our negative sides?
I`ve read books about him,films and so on. I have created a picture in my mind of who he was, but nothing more. People can make up their mind, but no conclusion can be made, because non of us knew him. If he was a shithole,genious or even both, so what, it`s the music we should admire!
Can`t we focus on the music, that`s what he wanted to bring to us, not all the other crap!
I know one thing,on the stage, he was indeed King Mercury!

Very good post TheGame, NOONE will ever no the REAL Freddie Mecury, and noone should put him down for what he did in his private life, is NOONES BUSINESS! He brought us Music and after all these years, still going strong (and not talking about the Queen/PR tour) everyday in the USA there is Freddie signing......and i LOVE it.....If Freddie was private then so b it, when he was on stage, he was the greatest...... you can't find that nowadays or even back then! Freddie was a showman and his private life should just b ingored......who new about AIDS back then, and even nowadays, u get a blood transfusion u don't now if it's with aids.....i lost a friend cuz of that, and he was straight but a blood tranfusion that the hospital did'nt detect was HIV postive.....and died cuz of that.....WHO CARES WHAT FREDDIE SAID IN INTERVIEWS, (and btw how do u no he was'nt joking and messing with the press) but bottom line, yea he was BI- but who fu@#$ing cares, he left us with music and the old timers will always cherish! Even Monstserrat....the opera singer.....who adored him! They don't have a cure for Aids, and praying they do someday, but Freddie did all he could on Made in Heaven cd, and don't u realize he was dying at that time, but still wanted to put his voice/music out! Was his style and did it till the end, so give Freddie a break and quit bringing him down! Even though u admitted the night he passed away, he wanted to still put music out! How can u downgrade someone that so much into making people happy and doing all he could do, from dying......shame people have to put him down...cuz of his lifestyle, but he will always b in my heart and never will question his PRIVATE LIFE......as NOONE SHOULD! keep up the music of QUEEN.....

This is just too ridiculous to be true! Probably they should now scrap the coutriy's name from the map because of that, right? This is just pathetic... Can you fuckin' read? Where did I write anything nasty about Iraq...? And even if- why are you so upset about mentioning Iraq (DON'T MENTION THE WAR comes to mind...)- why not so about poverty?
