most of those "fairy tales" are fact - not legend

Brenski, what facts? Who can prove it? Where was tabloids? Where was paparazzi before 1991? Where was gay and drug scandals with Freddie?

he was into anything and evertything...many in the same bed and same night!!!

Hm... just a funny.
You said it as you himself was in Freddie's badroom every night.
Who can prove it? Some bastargs said it afrer Freddie death, another bastards printed it, and they all know that nobody punish them.
Brensky, lust a shame. How can you call himself as Queen fun? How can you say it about dead man? How can you say it about you idol? Guys, you have nothing saint in your hearts, I see it.
Every day I an see in this forum many non -polite words about Freddie. Wery strange love of fans, I quess. It's Hutton and Freestone fan club, I quess.

I wonder if maybe I'm weird. I guess I am... I wonder if I'm the only one on this site thinking the same... After all those weeks hearing Freedie=Queen and how disrespectful the tour was, after all those threads about how hot Freddie was, about Freddie being genius and still in our hearts, blah, blah, blah... I dunno, man, but it makes me sick, really. Yes, great singer, fronting my fav band, dramatic lifestory, but... fuckin' hell! I almost feel I'm gonna snap when I hear the name again! It just loses any impact- yesterday I had to watch Milton Keynes to check out if I still like the guy! Yeah- I do. But after hearing all this crap about him, his name being mentioned every fuckin' five seconds and always as a God- no way you can criticise!- I have enough... It makes me cringe as well as being almost ashamed of being Queen fan!
THEN QUIT BEING A QUEEN FAN....THAT EASY!

What's wrong with Queen fans????
THE SAME AS WITH OTHER MUSIC FANS!

Yes- Freddie was a genius,
I WOULD'NT SAY GENIUS,BUT VERY MUSICALLY TALENTED.,...

probably was 10 feet tall
ACTUALLY 5ft 9in (175 cm)

had a huge cock,
HOW WOULD U KNOW THIS?

was hot as hell;
TO EACH THERE OWN OPINION....

hadn't he died he would have surely won Nobel Prize in science as well as literacy and probably a Peace Award as well
WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSE TO MEAN??? AND WHO KNOW'S, HE MIGHT'VE......

he would have recorded Bohemian Rhapsody reLoaded and all the gigs they would have played for free because he was such a philanthrope...
BTW - IT'S PHILANTHROPIST - AND NOONE WILL EVER NO IF HE EVER MADE CHARITABLE DONATIONS FOR HUMAN WELL BEING.......

he would have stopped war in Iraq as well as poverty...
UNCALLED FOR AND YES POVERTY IS A MAJOR ISSUE, AS IS EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS WORLD....AND THAT'S NEVER GOING TO CHANGE - UNLESS SOCIETY CHANGES, WHICH WE KNOW WILL NEVER HAPPEN. I HOPE IN YOUR HEART YOU HAVE A FEELING FOR OUR 9/11 ATTACKS AND ALL THE INNOCENT PEOPLE THAT DIED THAT DAY, AND AS FAR AS IRAQ, NO, I'M AGAINST IT...JUST NO REASON TO BRING IT UP.......

the biggest human being ever...
NO, HE WAS 5ft 9in

Give me a break. After listening to this kinda crap from Sharon or BPP and now few others every bloody day you actually stop liking the guy...
THEN STOP LIKING HIM....WHO SAYS U HAVE TO?? NOONES TWISTING YOUR ARM!

Bloody hell- I have to play Death On Two Legs again, once again forgot that he reallly WAS good... Does being fan mean being fanatic?
NO - ACTUALLY BEING A FAN DOESN'T NECESSARY MEAN U HAVE TO B A FANATIC?

No- I know I'm not going to change anyone's view, I'm not even trying. This is merely a rant- how I feel about the whole worshipping...
NO U PROABLY WON'T .... AND YES SOME PEOPLE CARRY THE WORSHIPPING A LITTLE BIT TO MUCH....
BUT WHAT ACTUALLY DOES YOUR LITTLE RANT PROVE OR WHAT ARE TRYING TO PROVE, TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT FREDDIE, WELL GRIN AND BEAR IT.....BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T LIKE HEARING/READING ABOUT IT,
SIMPLE SOLUTION
DON'T! it's that easy! IGNORE IT IF IT UPSETS U THAT MUCH! IS THAT SO HARD?

*********
C'mon, let's see the stones. Jehowa, Jehowa!!!

Fenderek - I'm not starting anything, just my ranting...and sorry if you took it the wrong way, but don't question my intelligents with your "Both of your posts show that you just simply didn't get it... and have no clue what was I writing about. When you read- try to understand it as well"

AND I STILL DON'T GET WHAT YOUR WRITING ABOUT...LIKE I SAID BEFORE, DON'T LIKE IT,
JUST DON'T READ IT! SO SIMPLE - like life!
UNREAL....HOW EASY THAT IS??????

AND ACTUALLY U SHOULD'VE PUT YOUR RANTING IN THE "PERSONAL" FORUM.....

Is this the real life
Is this just fantasy
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality

Look up to the skies and see

You say- if you don't like it- simple solution is don't read it. However you react with a lot of anger, with a lot of passion... Can I give you the same advice...?
No- it shouldn't be in PERSONAL, it's about Queen. And it was a rant JUST to say loud what I think- that's what this board is for, right? Why are you so emotional about what I wrote? Put yourself in my position than- after beeeing here for 2 years I finally reacted to all those posts about Freddie being perfct... Somehow- you are the one who can't deal with my post. Why did it upset you so mucjh? C'mon- you just told me- there's a simple solution, don't read... Why aren't you gonna use your own advice...?

You just don't realise that I was exaggerating ( and being sarcastic) to make a point, do you? You've missed it...

Of course I do, but I hate political correctness. And I'm not that touchy- was it too much to bring it up...? I cOULD agree with you on that one A LITTLE BIT. Still- it wasn't a major point, merely a detail...

Again, mate- why did you than react so strongly to my original post. Apparently the solution is so simple... Of course I don't ahve to like him. All I'm doing is saying what I think about it. Have a right to rant on this forum- that's what it's for... I'm just expressing my opinion. That's how it works here, right? You post your opinion, the others react. that's how the board is alive...

Read your own words. You reacted to my post. I did the same with this thread- reacted to some previous posts, many of them... How is it different...?

Fenderek,
you know, although I love Freddie to the point of calling myself a Mercurist, I see him as my main inspiration, and I feel I owe my life to him, I agree with most of what you said :-). The fact is, I feel so grateful to him because I believe his spirit was near me for many years after his death, and his energy really turned my life around and added meaning to it. OK this is personal and very complex to explain. But what I'd like to say is that I love his spirit, energy, and of course his talent. I don't care what he did in life. I only read 1 biography and that was the book by Rick Sky, I think the first biography ever written, and probably not at all the best. I don't want to dig into his life because no matter how hard we try we will never know how he really was. I know he was not perfect, and I don't approve of everything he did. This however does not change my gratitude to him.

About his courage in facing death, I don't agree with those who say that he brought it on himself. He didn't know the risk he was taking, as AIDS was unknown in the 70s and early 80s. And in any case, nobody has the right to judge what kind of disease one is guilty to have and what one is not. Freddie was incredibly brave, nobody should deny it!!! I also agree that there are millions of brave people in the world who face all sorts of illnesses or other tragedies with great dignity. I always say that Freddie is a symbol for all those people, who are not famous and therefore will remain unknown. Thanks to his music and fame, he can be an inspiration for those who have to face similar ordeals, and for all of us.

Freddie is not a God. Freddie on earth was just like anybody else, except for his musical talent, which had no comparison. Save for that, he was a person, like anyone of us.

Sorry...Queen 1997 RIP (must include MIH album & NOBY)

I agree with the rest though !

When it comes to Freddie, I mainly focus on the persona he chose to present to public, and I find it very inspirational.
Nothing really matters in the end.

one final point those that shag themselves into an early grave ARE NOT BRAVE, they are stupid (he's still my hero) but a fucking stupid one, nonetheless....cancer patients are fucking brave.... end of sermon!

I agree, having constant unprotected sex is just plain stupid. While AIDS may not have been big news in the early 80s, other STDs certainly were. Has anyone here ever thought of that?

But I'm not sure if one can prove that Freddie was truly in denial. Perhaps he did just want to make the best of the remaining time he had, and purely focused on music as much as he could.

I see where you're coming from too, but I do think that people are over-doing it with the bravery comments. Like really, what other choice did he have? Just because he didn't complain about his illness doesn't make him a hero for bravery.

Well, he could have hidden somewhere and stopped making music, for instance. He could have felt so angry or desperate about his disease that he could have chosen to just disappear. Instead, he not only chose to keep working and singing, but he wrote songs with incredibly positive and optimistic lyrics, full of praise for life, and of words of encouragement for anyone who is going through trouble. OK he didn't tell the world he had AIDS till the end, but of course he knew that the truth would soon come out, and people would interpret the messages in his songs accordingly.
Like I said Freddie is not a rare instance of bravery. But denying he is a wonderful example for all of us is another matter. This is my opinion...
