So any band who now decides to tour America are copying Queen?
I DON'T think so!

Bastards! I mean- Queen MAY go on tour to US in the fall, no other bands should do it in the same time...
C'mon- they didn't even confirm it yet!

Hence the word RUMORS!
So how can you say taht someone is hijacking something? Geez, I'm sure on the stones' noticeboars pp were already discussing their tour for halfa year as well.... You said yourself that you're not their fan- so you didn't hear about it. C'mon- you can't organise a massive tour in two weeks...
All I'm saying is... It will be different audience that will go and see Queen, and different one that will go for Stones. If the same- ppl will probably see both shows. No-one is stealing anything from anyone...
You know what they say about answers? That it depends on the question... You'll hear about other big bands that are going on tour in US in fall. Because they always do... Someone big is always gonna tour US in the fall every year... Fall 2005 isn't exclusive to Queen...
The Rolling Stones have done/completed/ and announced many USA tours in the last 40 years on their own without riding the coat tails of anyone.
Of course I am 100 times bigger Queen fan, than Stones fan....
but I don't think the Stones have to think too hard about selling out arena's.... they've been doing it since before most of us here were born.

Ditto- my thoughts exactly
BluEydFlu_Z: "John S. Stuart. Why are you always such a smartass?"
I think it may be because I have a brain, and, more often than not I usually try to use it.
How else does one become a smart ass?

BlyEydFlu-Z... Why the anger?
Don't you think we knew of the Stones gig over a year ago?
It's takes a lot of planning and time to organise the kind of tours the Stones do. Believe me, they're not 'taking Queen's thunder".
BluEydFlu_Z: "I think it's unfortunate that a person can't make up with brains what they lack in personality..."
So very true, but I am not a personality, I am two or three lines in a Queen forum noticeboard.
As to my initial response: "So any band who now decides to tour America are copying Queen? I DON'T think so!" - this was not meant to be either rude or curt, but a succinct summation of my thoughts on the subject. I could have used similar arguments as:

However, I could not be arsed at the time (still can't to be honest) hence the very short (but precise) reply. It was not meant to cause offence.
Sometimes one can disagree in one syllable (NO!) - without having to revert to three page justifications. If my diasagreement meets with your disapproval - I apologise - but being succinct does not equate with being either rude nor ignorant.
Now, even after this mini essay, I still disagree, and stand by my original statement: "So any band who now decides to tour America are copying Queen? I DON'T think so!"
Personally, I would think that any mature reader would accept that this is a pulic discussion board, and that others have the right to disagree with me.

Am a Stones fans, but a much bigger Queen fan.
The Stones have every right to tour this summer
as does any other group. Saw the Stones last time out. Very good show. If you get a chance to go, I would recommend it.
One big difference is the Stones are touring with their lead singer, and very very sadly Queen is not.
