Just heard audio from Wembley show. God dam awful Rodgers cannot sing. At best he is pub/club standard. Has this guy had any hits before ?. Is he trained to sing ?.

Shame on you Brian and Roger. Freddie will not be pleased.

no he won't.

Stop listening to their shows. You will always be disappointed no matter how PR sings. I would too, so I just don't listen to him.

I'm sorry well no I'm not cos it's not my fault but I heard 'I Want To Break Free' from a show and Paul Rodgers has nothing on Freddie Mercury. He sounds like he's coughing up a lung on every verse. I mean when Freddie started smoking to make his voice more husky it worked but in Paul Rodger's case - no it dosen't.

you don´t know what you are talking about, and yeas, YOU ARE SLIGHTLY MAD!
And BPP, Shut the fuck up!!!!!!

I think Freddie would be glad that his songs live on.

If you listened with an open mind you would realise Rodgers hasnt hit a wrong note yet on any of the shows (the ones I've heard anyway). You know Freddie wasn't always perfect. Listen to Wembley '86. In IWTBF his voice isnt in key. Rogers isnt Freddie Mercury. They are differant people and he aint trying to be Freddie. If you complain about that then surely Freddie was shit because he sang Jailhouse Rock totally differant to the way Elvis sang it. And I bet Little Richard is well pissed off with Freddie because he sang Tutti Frutti in a completely differant way.

Freddie would be happy because his music is still going nearly 15 years after he passed away and Rodgers was a hero to Freddie. And incase you havnt noticed Freddie IS dead. Some of us still want to see Brian and Roger, I know I do. The tour HAS been a big success and no matter what you say, people like the tour. Queen isnt yours. It's not up to you what happens to it. This band is Queen + Paul Rodgers. And they are great. Infact, they are really great. And there is only one band better.

Freddie wouldn't be pleased? No, Paul Rodgers was a huge influence, his music is living on, and fans going to the shows are enjoying it all. Freddie wouldn't be pleased at all. And of course Paul can't sing, I mean not only was he chosen by Brian and Roger from Queen, he had a successful career in the bands Free + Bad Company, and 99% of people who have seen him said he was ace. It also shows how much of a Queen fan the starter of this thread is, he clearly doesn't keep in touch with Queen news if he didn't even know Paul was in free or Bad Company.

BBP, stop telling tales!! You listened to Paul Rodgers and thought he was brilliant! Come on just admit it! You dont fool me.
But now you can kiss my ass goodbye

Disregarding for a moment that your mind is about as open as an oyster with lockjaw, and you will accordingly not be willing (or, due to your pathetic mental state: able) to understand this, I shall have a go.

Rodgers is a very decent singer. He doesn't have Freddie's tonal reach, granted, but what he lacks there he makes up in feeling (Freddie's equal) and enthousiasm. His vocals are perfectly in tune, and they work really well. Now if you can't handle that, go sulk in your room, but don't bother other people, who DO have a life with the trivial issues you are experiencing.

First of all you people need help. You can't defend the fact that Paul Rodgers is not the right singer for most Queen material. If Roger Taylor and Brian May wants to make music, thats cool if they want Rodgers for a vocalist, that's cool. If they're gonna play under the guise of Queen that's even cool but the comparisons between Paul Rodgers and Freddie Mercury are going to take place because of that and Freddie Mercury he ain't. His voice isn't as good as it was when he was younger. He doesn't have the vocal range or ability that Freddie had at any point of his life> He's not the right singer for QUEEN!!!! bottomline. It's not really Queen. I like Paul Rodgers, he's a decent song writer and okay singer, I would love to hear an album from Roger, Brian and Paul, even though I don't think it should be under the name Queen but if they want to use Queen or Queen plus Rodgers that's their perogative I suppose.

Suck it down Brians Permed Poodle. Queen live on, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it! It must really rile you up that they're making a packet out of this tour and entertaining people across Europe with their fine music.

You know, I really don't like Paul Rogers as much as Freddie either, but who cares? They're having fun, the audiences are having fun, and this music that needs to be played live is being played live.

Think of it in fifty years asshole - who are they going to remember? Brian's Permed Poodle, some prick on the internet who didn't want people to enjoy themselves *JUST* because the band used the 'wrong' name, or Queen? It doesn't matter if you're right or wrong here buddy - no one gives a dingo's kidneys.
